Ours fly by aircraft. ✈️

This recent repatriation mission took one of our paramedics from Tokyo all the way back to Germany — a journey that effectively meant circumnavigating the globe.

From meticulous medical planning to continuous in-flight care, the entire transport was carried out by our own experienced paramedic, ensuring the patient was monitored, safe, and comfortable at every stage of the journey.

After thousands of kilometers in the air, the patient arrived home safely and was handed over for further treatment close to family — exactly where recovery belongs.

Behind every long-distance medical transport is not just logistics and aviation expertise, but people who go the extra mile — sometimes all the way around the world.

*Global on Mission — Even During the Holidays*

The turn of the year did not mean a pause for Medical Flight Service. While many were welcoming the New Year, our teams were already on mission around the world, ensuring patients were safely brought home.

Over the holidays, one particularly demanding operation took us to South America, where a patient had to be medically disembarked during a cruise. From there, we coordinated and carried out the safe repatriation back home.
At the same time, we managed and escorted five additional patient transports from different regions across Asia, enabling access to home-based medical care.

On the ground, our ambulances and critical care vehicles covered thousands of kilometers, transporting patients to further treatment facilities — with one mission leading us from Austria as far as Recklinghausen.
In another complex operation, our ambulance equipped with a bariatric stretcher was deployed to safely transfer a severely obese patient from the aircraft after a flight we carried out to a local hospital for continued care.

These missions reflect what drives us every day: responsibility, precision, and unwavering commitment — regardless of the date or time.

Our sincere thanks go to our operations team, paramedics, and physicians who remained fully committed throughout the holidays. Their professionalism, dedication, and compassion make these missions possible.

Die Welt ist groß. Unsere Verantwortung ist größer.

Als Operations Agent (m/w/d) an unserem Standort in Freising bist du der zentrale Dreh- und Angelpunkt in unserem Team, wenn Patient:innen aus aller Welt unsere Hilfe brauchen.

Ein Notfall in Namibia? Ein Transport aus Norwegen? Du koordinierst alles – vom Bodenteam über das medizinische Equipment bis hin zur Aufnahme unserer Patient:innen in der Klinik. Dabei arbeitest du eng mit Ärzt:innen, Sanitäter:innen und den Angehörigen zusammen.

Was dich auszeichnet? Du bleibst ruhig, auch wenn es mal hektisch wird. Du bist empathisch, weil du mit Menschen zu tun hast. Und: Du arbeitest präzise, weil es keine Fehler geben darf.

Long story short: Du machst das Unmögliche möglich – jeden Tag und auch regelmäßig nachts. Denn unser Team ist 24/7 und 365 Tage im Jahr für Menschen in Notlagen im Einsatz!

Daher ist es wichtig, dass du einige Grundvoraussetzungen erfüllst:

• Du bist körperlich und mental in der Lage, in Früh- und Spätschichten zu arbeiten – gelegentlich auch an Wochenenden und Feiertagen
• Du hast bereits Erfahrung im medizinischen Bereich gesammelt, zum Beispiel als Rettungssanitäter, Notfallsanitäter oder Gesundheits- und Krankenpfleger (m/w/d)
• Oder: Du hast deine Ausbildung als Reiseverkehrskaufmann/-frau abgeschlossen
• Du bist ein Kommunikationsprofi auf Deutsch und auf Englisch (mind. C1-Niveau)

A couple of days ago we had the privilege to be part of a special repatriation.
A premature was transferred back home to Germany by air ambulance. Not only the fact that we also operate our very own ground ambulance fleet made it possible for us to provide the transfer during the last kilometers but also the availability of our own emergency incubator made this transport possible as the original incubator had to stay onboard the air ambulance.
We are absolutely pleased to be able to support the youngest, smallest and most vulnerable of all our patients.

Thank you to everyone involved for bringing this young life safely back home.

2024 ends dramatically for the aviation industry.

In addition to the suspected attack on an Azerbaijan Airlines aircraft and the subsequent crash with nearly 40 fatalities, as well as the tragedy involving the Jeju Air flight with 179 fatalities, a cabin crew member of Swiss also passed away following an emergency landing in Graz.

In these moments, our thoughts are with the affected families, friends and colleagues.

Nevertheless, we continue to operate worldwide, transporting patients for treatment near their loved ones and striving to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Thus, we are already starting the new year early this New Year's Eve, as one of our medical crews is currently in Auckland, New Zealand. With active crews operating in Asia, Europe, and North America, it will be a long New Year's Eve, and we hope for a more positive year in 2025 for people worldwide.

With that in mind:
