BIB am 24.09.2026 als Arbeits- und Lernort geöffnet

Aufgrund einer Veranstaltung steht Euch die Hochschulbibliothek am Donnerstag, 24. September 2026, als Arbeits- und Lernort zur Verfügung. Ein persönlicher Service kann an diesem Tag jedoch nicht angeboten werden.

Das bedeutet unter anderem: Der Servicepoint und die Abteilungen sind nicht besetzt. Ausleihen und Rückgaben am Servicepoint, die Abholung von Vormerkungen und Fernleihen, die Nutzung der Testothek sowie Neuanmeldungen und Gebührenzahlungen vor Ort sind nicht möglich.

Die Selbstverbuchungsstationen und die Rückgabestation könnt Ihr wie gewohnt nutzen.

Ab Freitag, 25. September, sind wir wieder mit unserem regulären Service für Euch da.

Wir bitten um Euer Verständnis.

BIB Open as a Place to Work and Study on September 24, 2026

Due to an event, the University Library will be open as a place to work and study on Thursday, September 24, 2026. However, in-person services will not be available on this day.

This means, among other things, that the Service Point and the departments will be unstaffed. Borrowing and returning items at the Service Point, picking up holds and interlibrary loans, using the test library, as well as on-site new registrations and fee payments will not be possible.

You can use the self-checkout stations and the return station as usual.

Starting Friday, September 25, we will be back to provide our regular services.

Discover the architecture of the former Livestock Market Hall & commemorate its history.

Unser heutiger Neuerwerbungstipp „Kunst als kollektive Wissensproduktion“ widmet sich der Frage, wie Kunst als Pluralform im 21. Jahrhundert vermittelt werden kann.

Die renommierten Herausgeberinnen Anja Steidinger und Nora Sternfeld nähern sich dieser Frage in Form eines Werkstattberichts. Anhand von Seminaren und studentischen Projekten dokumentieren und reflektieren sie unterschiedliche künstlerische Ansätze. So eröffnet der Band einen spannenden Einblick in die Kunstvermittlung und zeigt, wie sie selbst als eigenständige künstlerische Praxis verstanden werden kann.

Our featured new acquisition for today, “Kunst als kollektive Wissensproduktion,” explores the question of how art—in its plural form—can be conveyed in the 21st century.

Renowned editors Anja Steidinger and Nora Sternfeld address this question in the form of a workshop report. Drawing on seminars and student projects, they document and reflect on various artistic approaches. In this way, the volume offers a fascinating insight into art education and demonstrates how it can itself be understood as an independent artistic practice.

Hier könnt Ihr eure spezifischen Fragen zu den Themen Recherche, Zitationen, Literaturverwaltungsprogrammen und anderen stellen. Die Beratungstermine könnt ihr online Vereinbaren und können je nach Wahl vor Ort in der Bibliothek oder über Microsoft-Teams stattfinden. Das Angebot ist offen für alle Studenten und Mitarbeitende der Hochschule Düsseldorf (https://bib.hs-duesseldorf.de/recherche/information).

In addition to the Open Research Workshop, courses, and Moodle courses, the BIB also offers individual consultation appointments. Here, you can ask specific questions about research, citations, literature management programn, and other topics. You can schedule these appointments online, and they can take place either in person at the library or via Microsoft Teams, depending on your preference.
