Born in 1999 in Magadan, Russia, Jenna Marvin explores the body and its transformations through performance, visual arts and sculptural experimentation. Her work addresses the instability of identity in an era of technological and biological change; a battleground for cultural, political and gender conflicts, the ‘dismantled’ body paves the way for new forms of existence.

Internet Cinema selected by Dana Dawud
8 p.m. (doors 7:30 p.m.)

This week, JSF presents the screening program „Internet Cinema selected by Dana Dawud.“ Bringing together new works by artists working across moving image, AI, and internet culture, the evening features films by Matt Chan (Matt Chan), Linn Phyllis Seeger (Linn Phyllis Seeger), Benjamin Orlow (Benjamin Orlow), Anna Mikkola (Anna Mikkola), Poorspigga (), Safiya Hawwa (safiya hawwa), Demonlovers Inc. (𝕯𝖊𝖒𝖔𝖓𝕷𝖔𝖛𝖊𝖗𝖘.𝖎𝖓𝖈), Dana Dawud (Dans) and angelicism01 (online presence). Linn Phyllis Seeger will be introducing the program on site.

Dana Dawud is an artist and writer whose work moves between cinema, the archive, sound, and the internet. Working across film, AI, and online culture, she explores memory, technology, and the changing life of images. She is the founder of “Open Secret,“ an international touring screening series for emerging and post-internet artists, and creates music as pleasure helmet and AI works as angelvapemp3. Her ongoing film project Monad unfolds as an evolving cinematic archive, changing with each presentation. Dawud’s work is interested in how images travel, mutate, and create new forms of intimacy beyond the gallery, the nation, and the institution.

Tickets 15€ via Resident Advisor (link in bio 🔗) and at the door

For the fifth edition of “Sound and Fluids,” JSF Berlin presents an evening of music by Ellen Arkbro and Judith Hamann, featuring “Daysong,” composed for and performed by cellist Judith Hamann, alongside new works for keyboard performed by Arkbro herself.

Ellen Arkbro is a composer, musician, and sound artist working with precision-tuned intervallic harmony. Composing for acoustic instruments, synthetic sound, and their combinations, Arkbro creates focused sonic environments in which harmonic simplicity opens into emotional and perceptual depth.

Judith Hamann is a cellist, composer, and performer whose process-driven practice explores sound as subject, object, and actant. Encompassing cello, voice, body, improvisation, field recording, and site-responsive performance, Hamann’s work investigates sonic thresholds as sites of instability, movement, and transformation.

“Sound and Fluids” is a concert series hosted by the Julia Stoschek Foundation and curated by Reece Cox (reece.cox) and Tabea Marschall (). The series focuses on listening as a spatial and embodied experience, across performance, voice, and atmosphere.

The sound system for the night will be kindly provided by the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program (DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program).
