One of the amazing places to visit with your 9 euro ticket is Kassel which is a beautiful city in the state of Hesse, Germany. 😍 We went there from Bremen and it took about 5 hours by train from Bremen to Kassel Hauptbahnhof(central railway station).
It is a good idea to stay at least one night if you want to explore the city properly. We stayed at an Airbnb near Felix-Blumenfeld-Straße which costs 40 euros for one night. The view from this place is so mesmerizing.🥰
Tourist attractions 🏖:
Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe: It is the most beautiful and top tourist attraction in this city as it is Europe's largest mountain park 🏞 covering 560 hectares of mountain area and is also a UNESCO world heritage site. It is popular for its water features or wasserspiele which only takes place from May 1st to October 3rd in every Wednesday, Sunday and Public holiday. If you want to enjoy the water show⛲️, you have to be present there at a particular time. I am writing the schedule below-
2.30 p.m. Start below the Hercules
3.05 p.m. Steinhöfer Waterfall
3.20 p.m. Devil’s Bridge
3.30 p.m. Aqueduct
3.45 p.m. Large Fountain (until approx. 4 p.m.)
There are two ways to enter this park.
1. from bottom to top (Wilhelmshöhe palace side)
2. from top to bottom ( Hercules side)
My suggestion will be to choose the 2nd option because it is much easier to move in a mountain area if you walk from the upper to the lower portion and also, the water show starts from this side to lower places. Otherwise, you will need lots of stamina for roaming around this place which might hinder your enjoyment. Don't forget to wear comfy shoes.
You can visit the Herkules monument, lowenburg castle, and Wilhelmshöhe palace ( which is a museum now) all inside this park.
There is no entry fee for the park but if you want to enter the museum or castle then you have to buy tickets.

Monument of Grimm brothers:
If you are a fan of fairytales or Grimm stories, you must love to visit the monument of the Grimm brothers as Kassel is the hometown of the Grimm brothers.
Documenta: It is the most popular art exhibition not only in Kassel but also in the whole world which happens every five years and people from all over the world come here for this event. It lasts for 100 days and the next one will be held this year 2022 from 18 June to 25 September.

We spent one-day visiting Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe and another for other places.

Download the "NVV Mobil" app from play store in which you can search for Kassel's transportation.
Food🍔🍹:
Falafel Grill point- it's 5 minutes walk from Kassel Hauptbahnhof. We tried their Hähnchenspieße im brot ( costs 5 euro) and it was mouthwatering.
Antalya Imbiss- It was near our Airbnb. We tried Pizza Hähnchen drehspieße ( 7.5 euro) and tasted yummy.
Feinbäckerei Ruch: It's a good option just beside Antalya Imbiss for breakfast and coffee.
Also, there is a doner shop at the entrance of Kassel Hauptbahnhof. Don't know the name. The taste of the food is average. Not recommended.
💝Another thing I really want to mention is that the people of Kassel are so nice and helpful. They are super friendly and most of them can speak English.
🛑P.S. Carry an umbrella ☂️or raincoat with you because Kassel's weather is unpredictable.
