Canada is building big.

At the inaugural Canada Investment Summit, investors from nearly 30 countries came to Toronto to invest in Canada.

The Summit laid the foundation for enormous new investment and strategic partnerships while accelerating existing negotiations – resulting in nearly $500 billion in new investment commitments to Canada.

📚🇨🇦 🇺🇦 From Canada to Berlin, a week of Ukrainian voices, resilience and solidarity.

As President Zelenskyy visited Canada last week to discuss sustained international support for Ukraine, the Canadian Embassy in Berlin was pleased to support Canadian-Ukrainian author Maria Reva's appearance at the International Literature Festival Berlin.

Presenting her novel Endling ("Ein Königreich für eine Schnecke" in German, published by dtv Verlagsgesellschaft), Reva brought to life remarkable female characters while highlighting the resilience, humour and determination of Ukrainian society in the face of Russia's full-scale invasion.

At a critical moment for Ukraine, literature helps us connect with the human stories behind world events and strengthen empathy and solidarity across borders.

🇨🇦 Canada remains steadfast in its support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.

🎶 Coming soon to the Elbphilharmonie! 🇨🇦

On August 28th the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal - OSM returns to the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg with chief conductor Rafael Payare and star cellist Alisa Weilerstein.

Known for its vibrant sound and artistic excellence, the OSM will perform works by Claude Debussy, Richard Strauss and Gabriela Ortiz, whose Grammy-winning cello concerto Dzonot will be featured during the evening.

The concert also highlights a longstanding musical link between Montréal and Hamburg through Kent Nagano, who led both the OSM and Hamburg’s musical institutions, helping build enduring connections between the two cities.
