وزير الخارجية يؤكد في ميونخ، خلال مشاركته في اجتماع رفيع المستوى، أن الاستقرار السياسي في العراق يمثل أولوية

شارك نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء، وزير الخارجية، السيد فؤاد حسين، يوم الجمعة الموافق 13 شباط 2026، في اجتماع الطاولة المستديرة الذي عُقد تحت عنوان: (مسارات السلام: الدور المتنامي لدول الخليج في حل النزاعات)، وذلك على هامش أعمال مؤتمر ميونخ للأمن لعام 2026.

ونظم الاجتماع مركز الخليج للأبحاث، بالتعاون مع مجموعة الأزمات الدولية، وبمشاركة عدد من وزراء الخارجية والدفاع من مختلف الدول، فضلًا عن ممثلين عن شركات دولية بارزة وخبراء مختصين في الشؤون السياسية والأمنية.

وشهد الاجتماع مناقشة عدد من المحاور الرئيسة، في مقدمتها المسارات المستقبلية للدبلوماسية الخليجية، وآليات التنسيق مع الفاعلين الدوليين والإقليميين، فضلًا عن استعراض التصورات المتعلقة بإدارة الأزمات، وتقييم فاعلية الدور الخليجي في ظل التحولات المتسارعة التي يشهدها النظام الدولي.

وفي مداخلة له خلال الاجتماع، استعرض السيد الوزير تطورات المشهد السياسي في العراق، ولا سيما مسار العملية الانتخابية والاستحقاقات الدستورية المرتبطة بتشكيل الحكومة، مؤكداً أهمية ترسيخ الاستقرار السياسي وتعزيز عمل المؤسسات الدستورية بما يدعم المسار الديمقراطي في البلاد.

كما تناول السيد الوزير تطورات الوضع الإقليمي، مشيراً إلى احتمالات التصعيد أو استمرار المسار التفاوضي بين الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية والجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية، مؤكداً أن المنطقة بأسرها تترقب نتائج هذه المفاوضات، نظراً لما قد يترتب على فشلها من مخاطر تصعيد محتمل واندلاع مواجهة عسكرية مرة أخرى .
وأشار السيد الوزير إلى حساسية المرحلة الراهنة، وما تتطلبه من تكثيف الجهود الدبلوماسية وتغليب لغة الحوار لتجنب المزيد من التوترات.

ويأتي هذا الاجتماع في إطار الحوارات الدولية الرامية إلى تعزيز الدبلوماسية متعددة الأطراف، وتوسيع نطاق التعاون الإقليمي والدولي، بما يسهم في دعم الأمن والاستقرار.

Foreign Minister Affirms Political Stability in Iraq as a Priority During High-Level Meeting in Munich

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, participated on Friday, 13 February 2026, in a high-level roundtable entitled “Paths to Peace: The Growing Role of the Gulf States in Conflict Resolution,” convened on the sidelines of the 2026 Munich Security Conference.

The meeting was organized by the Gulf Research Center in cooperation with the International Crisis Group, and brought together a number of foreign and defense ministers from various countries, as well as representatives of prominent international companies and experts specializing in political and security affairs.

Discussions focused on several key themes, foremost among them the future trajectories of Gulf diplomacy, mechanisms for coordination with international and regional actors, as well as perspectives on crisis management and an assessment of the effectiveness of the Gulf role amid the rapid transformations shaping the international system.

In his intervention, the Minister reviewed recent developments in Iraq’s political landscape, particularly the electoral process and the constitutional entitlements related to government formation. H.E. emphasized the importance of consolidating political stability and strengthening the work of constitutional institutions in support of the country’s democratic path.

The Minister also addressed regional developments, referring to the prospects of either escalation or the continuation of the negotiating track between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

H.E. stressed that the entire region is closely monitoring the outcomes of these negotiations, given the potential risks of renewed escalation and the outbreak of military confrontation should they fail. H.E. underscored the sensitivity of the current phase and the need to intensify diplomatic efforts and prioritize dialogue in order to avoid further tensions.

This meeting comes within the framework of ongoing international dialogues aimed at promoting multilateral diplomacy and expanding regional and international cooperation in support of security and stability.

اتصال هاتفي بين السيد فؤاد حسين ووزير خارجية عُمان لِبَحْثِ مستجدات المفاوضات فِي جنيف وواشنطن

جرى مساء يوم الجمعة الموافق 27 شباط 2026 اتصال هاتفي بين نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الخارجية السيد فؤاد حسين، ووزير خارجية سلطنة عُمان الشقيقة السيد بدر البوسعيدي، المتواجد في واشنطن.

وخلال الاتصال، استعرض الوزير العُماني مسار المفاوضات التي عُقدت في جنيف بين الوفدين الإيراني والأمريكي بوساطة سلطنة عُمان، مبيناً ما شهدته من تطورات مهمة. كما أطلع السيد فؤاد حسين على نتائج مباحثاته التي أجراها في واشنطن، بما في ذلك لقاؤه مع نائب الرئيس الأمريكي جيه دي فانس.

وبحث الجانبان الخطوات المقبلة المزمع اتخاذها ضمن العملية التفاوضية، وآليات استكمال جولات الحوار بما يسهم في ترسيخ المسار الدبلوماسي وتعزيز فرص التوصل إلى تفاهمات مستدامة.

وأكد الطرفان أن ما تحقق في مفاوضات جنيف يمثل تقدماً ملحوظاً في مسار العملية التفاوضية، مشددين على أهمية البناء على هذا التقدم وعدم السماح بأي تصعيد قد يقوض الجهود المبذولة.

كما جرى التأكيد على خطورة أي خطوات باتجاه التصعيد العسكري في المنطقة، وضرورة الحفاظ على المسار التفاوضي باعتباره السبيل العملي والأمثل للوصول إلى اتفاق، وتجنب الانزلاق نحو المواجهة أو الحرب.

وثمّن السيد فؤاد حسين الدور الذي تضطلع به حكومة سلطنة عُمان، بوصفها وسيطاً فاعلاً ومسؤولاً، مشيداً بجهود الوزير بدر البوسعيدي وفريقه في إدارة هذا الملف، ومؤكداً دعم حكومة العراق الكامل لهذه المساعي.

واتفق الجانبان على مواصلة التنسيق والتشاور خلال المرحلة المقبلة، معربَين عن تقديرهما لأهمية استمرار التواصل وتبادل المعلومات بشأن مجريات المفاوضات في جنيف والمباحثات في واشنطن.

Telephone Conversation between Mr. Fuad Hussein and the Foreign Minister of Oman to Discuss Developments in the Negotiations in Geneva and Washington

On the evening of Friday, 27 February 2026, a telephone conversation was held between the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Fuad Hussein, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly Sultanate of Oman, Mr. Badr Al Busaidi, who is currently in Washington.

During the telephone conversation, the Omani Foreign Minister mentioned the developments that had occurred in the negotiations that took place in Geneva between the Iranian and American delegations, mediated by the Sultanate of Oman. He also informed Mr. Fuad Hussein about the results of his talks in Washington, including his meeting with US Vice-President J. D. Vance.

The two sides touched upon the next steps that would be taken in the framework of the negotiation process, as well as the methods of continuing the dialogue rounds in a way that would help to consolidate the diplomatic track and improve the chances of achieving sustainable understandings.

Both sides emphasized that the progress reached in the Geneva negotiations constitutes a significant step in the negotiating process, and the importance of building on this progress and avoiding any escalation that might negatively impact the efforts made.

They also reiterated the seriousness of any action towards military escalation in the region and the need to maintain the negotiating track as the best means to reach an agreement and prevent a drift towards confrontation and war.

Mr. Fuad Hussein thanked the role of the Government of the Sultanate of Oman as an active and responsible mediator, praising the efforts of Minister Badr Al Busaidi and his team in following up on this file, and reiterated the full support of the Government of Iraq for these efforts.

Both sides agreed to continue coordination and consultation in the coming period, appreciating the importance of communication and exchange of information on the progress of the negotiations in Geneva and the discussions in Washington.

وزيرُ الخارجيّةِ يبحثُ مع نظيرِهِ السعوديِّ تطوّراتِ الأوضاعِ الإقليميّة ويؤكدان ضرورةَ احتواءِ التصعيد

بحث نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية السيد فؤاد حسين، يوم الأحد الموافق 1 آذار 2026، في اتصال هاتفي مع سمو الأمير فيصل بن فرحان آل سعود، وزير خارجية المملكة العربية السعودية، تطورات الأوضاع في المنطقة وانعكاساتها على الأمن والاستقرار الإقليميين.

وشهد الاتصال تقييماً للتصعيد العسكري والهجمات التي تعرّض لها البلدان، حيث تم تبادل وجهات النظر بشأن مستجدات المشهد الأمني، والتأكيد على خطورة انزلاق أطراف أخرى إلى ساحة المواجهة، بما قد يؤدي إلى توسيع نطاق الصراع.

كما شدد الجانبان على ضرورة العمل العاجل لاحتواء الأزمة ومنع اتساع رقعتها، والسعي إلى وقف العمليات العسكرية، مؤكدين أهمية حماية الممرات البحرية الحيوية، ولا سيما مضيق هرمز، لما يمثله من أهمية استراتيجية للاقتصاد العالمي وأمن الطاقة.

Foreign Affairs Minister Discusses Regional Developments with Saudi Counterpart and Emphasizes the Need to Contain Escalation

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, held a telephone conversation on Sunday, 1 March 2026, with H.H. Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to discuss recent developments in the region and their implications for regional security and stability. The call included an assessment of the military escalation and the attacks that have targeted both countries.

The two sides exchanged views on the evolving security situation and underscored the risks of additional parties being drawn into the confrontation, which could further expand the scope of the conflict. Both ministers stressed the urgent need to contain the crisis and prevent its further spread, as well as to work toward a cessation of military operations.

They also highlighted the importance of safeguarding vital maritime corridors, particularly the Strait of Hormuz, given its strategic significance to the global economy and energy security.

وزير الخَارِجِيَّةِ يتلقى اتصالاً مِن نظيره الكرواتي لبحث تطورات الأَوضاعِ في المِنطَقَة

تلقى نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية السيد فؤاد حسين، يوم الأحد الموافق 1 آذار 2026، اتصالاً هاتفياً من وزير خارجية جمهورية كرواتيا غوردان غريليتش-رادمان.

وجرى خلال الاتصال بحث التطورات الخطيرة التي تشهدها المنطقة، وانعكاساتها على الأمن والاستقرار الإقليميين والدوليين. وأكد الوزير الكرواتي تضامن بلاده مع العراق، وحرصها على دعم جهوده في تعزيز الأمن والاستقرار.

وشدد الجانبان على أن استمرار الحرب واتساع نطاقها من شأنه أن يؤثر في عموم المنطقة، ويقود إلى تداعيات خطيرة ونتائج كارثية في مختلف المجالات السياسية والاقتصادية والإنسانية.

وزير الخارجية فواد حسين يبحث مَعَ نظيره الأذربيجاني تطورات الأَوْضَاعِ فِي المنطقة

بحث نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الخارجية السيد فؤاد حسين، يوم الأحد الموافق 1 آذار 2026، في اتصال هاتفي مع وزير خارجية جمهورية أذربيجان السيد جيهون بايراموف، التطورات الجارية في المنطقة.

وجرى خلال الاتصال تقييم الأوضاع الراهنة في ضوء تداعيات الحرب على الجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية، ولا سيما في ظل ما يربط العراق وأذربيجان من جوار جغرافي مع إيران، وما يترتب على ذلك من مسؤوليات مشتركة في متابعة المستجدات الإقليمية.

كما تناول الجانبان خطورة استمرار العمليات العسكرية ضد إيران، وما قد تفضي إليه من انعكاسات سلبية على أمن واستقرار دول الجوار والمنطقة بأسرها، محذرين من مخاطر اتساع رقعة الحرب وتصاعدها.

وأكد الوزيران أهمية العمل المشترك، بالتنسيق مع الدول المعنية، من أجل وقف الحرب، واعتماد السبل الدبلوماسية طريقاً للحل، بما يسهم في خفض التصعيد وتعزيز الاستقرار الإقليمي.

وزير الخارجية يُقدّم التعازي باستشهادِ المرشدِ الأعلى آيةِ اللهِ علي خامنئي

أجرى نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية، السيد فؤاد حسين، اتصالاً هاتفياً يوم الأحد الموافق 1 آذار 2026 بوزير الخارجية الإيراني السيد عباس عراقچي.

وخلال الاتصال، قدّم السيد فؤاد حسين تعازيه إلى السيد الوزير والحكومة الإيرانية باستشهاد المرشد الأعلى وقائد الثورة الإيرانية، آية الله علي خامنئي، وعدد من القادة في الجمهورية الإسلامية.

كما اطّلع السيد الوزير على الإجراءات الدستورية المقبلة في هذا الإطار، ولا سيما ما يتعلق بآلية اختيار المرشد خلال الأيام القادمة.

وأكد وزير الخارجية ضرورة وقف الحرب، والعمل الجاد في هذا الاتجاه بما يسهم في تهدئة الأوضاع وتعزيز الاستقرار في المنطقة.

Foreign Affairs Minister Offers Condolences on the Martyrdom of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, held a telephone conversation on Sunday, 1 March 2026, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Mr. Abbas Araghchi.

During the call, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein extended his condolences to the Iranian foreign minister and the Government of Iran on the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader and Leader of the Iranian Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as well as a number of leaders in the Islamic Republic.

H.E. the minister was also briefed on the forthcoming constitutional procedures in this regard, particularly those related to the mechanism for selecting the next Supreme Leader in the coming days.

H.E. Minister Fuad Hussein emphasized the necessity of halting the war and exerting serious efforts in this direction in order to de-escalate tensions and promote stability in the region.

وزير الخارجية يبحث هَاتِفِياً مَعَ وزير الدولة البريطاني تَطَوُّرَاتِ الحرب وَيُحَذر مِنْ تداعياتها عَلَى العراق والمنطقة

تلقّى نائبُ رئيسِ مجلسِ الوزراء ووزيرُ الخارجية، السيد فؤاد حسين، يومَ الاثنين الموافق 2 آذار 2026، اتصالاً هاتفياً من وزيرِ الدولة البريطاني لشؤون الشرق الأوسط السيد هاميش فالكونر ، جرى خلاله بحثُ تطورات الحرب وتداعياتها على المنطقة.

وشهد الاتصال تقييماً شاملاً للوضع الميداني والسياسي، حيث استعرض الوزيرُ البريطاني الموقفَ الجديد لبلاده، موضحاً السماحَ للقوات الأمريكية باستخدام بعض المرافق، مع العمل على تسهيل الإجراءات ذات الصلة.

وأكد الجانبان خطورة استمرار استهداف الدول الخليجية، لما يحمله ذلك من تداعيات خطيرة على أمن المنطقة واستقرارها.

وأشار السيد فؤاد حسين إلى أن العراق بات يتأثر بشكل مباشر بمجريات الحرب، موضحاً أن إيران تواصل قصف عددٍ من المناطق في إقليم كردستان، ولا سيما مدينة أربيل، في حين تستهدف الجهةُ الأخرى في النزاع مواقعَ في جنوب العراق وغربه، الأمر الذي يضع البلاد أمام تحديات أمنية متزايدة.

كما حذّر السيد الوزير من أن استمرار الحرب من شأنه أن يؤدي إلى تفاقم حالة عدم الاستقرار وخلق حالة من الفوضى في المنطقة، متسائلاً عن الأهداف المرجوة من إطالة أمد الصراع في ظل ما يخلّفه من خسائر وتداعيات إنسانية وأمنية.

وفي هذا السياق، شدد وزير الخارجية على ضرورة تكثيف الجهود الدولية والإقليمية من أجل التوصل إلى وقفٍ فوري لإطلاق النار، بما يسهم في احتواء التصعيد وتهيئة الظروف لاستعادة الاستقرار.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Holds Phone Call with United Kingdom Minister of State, Discusses War Developments and Warns of Repercussions on Iraq and the Region

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, received a phone call on Monday, 2 March 2026, from the United Kingdom Minister of State for the Middle East, H.E. Mr. Hamish Falconer, during which they discussed developments in the war and its repercussions on the region.

The call included a comprehensive assessment of the military and political situation. H.E. Mr. Falconer outlined his country’s updated position, clarifying that permission had been granted for the United States forces to use certain facilities, while efforts are underway to facilitate the related procedures.

Both sides stressed the seriousness of the continued targeting of Gulf states, warning of the grave consequences this could have for regional security and stability.

H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein noted that Iraq is now being directly affected by the course of the war, explaining that Iran continues to shell several areas in the Kurdistan Region, particularly the city of Erbil, while the other party to the conflict is targeting sites in southern and western Iraq, placing the country before escalating security challenges.

H.E. The Minister further warned that the continuation of the war would exacerbate instability and generate further chaos across the region. He questioned the objectives behind prolonging the conflict in light of the losses and humanitarian and security repercussions it entails.

In this context, H.E. The Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized the need to intensify international and regional efforts to reach an immediate ceasefire, in order to contain the escalation and create the conditions necessary for restoring stability.

وَزِير الخارجية يتلقى اتصالاً هاتفياً من نظيره الهولندي وَيَبْحَثَانِ دَعْمَ العِرَاقِ وتطورات الحرب

تلقى نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية السيد فؤاد حسين، يوم الاثنين الموافق 2 آذار 2026، اتصالًا هاتفيًا من السيد توم بيريندسن، وزير خارجية مملكة هولندا.

وأكد الوزير الهولندي دعم بلاده للعراق في مواجهة الهجمات التي تُشن عليه، معرباً عن قلقه البالغ إزاء أوضاع المواطنين العراقيين، ومشدداً على ضرورة إيجاد مسار للحل واحتواء التصعيد. كما ثمن عالياً سياسة الحكومة العراقية في نقل عناصر تنظيم داعش الإرهابي إلى السجون العراقية في بغداد، وعدّها خطوة مهمة في إطار تعزيز الأمن والاستقرار.

من جانبه، قدم السيد فؤاد حسين شرحاً مفصلاً بشأن أوضاع عناصر تنظيم داعش الإرهابي الموقوفين في السجون العراقية، مؤكداً أن الواجب يقتضي من الاتحاد الأوروبي ودوله دعم الحكومة العراقية في إدارة هذا الملف الكبير والحساس، ولا سيما أن عددًا من هؤلاء الإرهابيين يحملون جنسيات أوروبية وغربية، ما يستدعي تعاوناً دولياً أكبر لتحمل المسؤوليات المشتركة.

وأبدى الوزير الهولندي استعداد بلاده لتقديم الدعم للعراق في هذا المجال، مشيراً إلى أنه سيتم توجيه السفارة الهولندية في بغداد للتنسيق مع وزارة الخارجية العراقية، ودراسة سبل تقديم المساندة اللازمة للحكومة العراقية في هذا الإطار.

Foreign Minister Receives Phone Call from Dutch Counterpart to Discuss Support for Iraq and War Developments

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, received a phone call on Monday, 2 March 2026, from H.E. Mr. Tom Berendsen, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

H.E. the Dutch Foreign Minister affirmed his country’s support for Iraq in facing the attacks being carried out against it, expressing deep concern regarding the situation of Iraqi citizens and stressing the need to find a path toward a solution and contain the escalation. H.E. also highly praised the Iraqi government’s policy of transferring members of the terrorist organization ISIS to Iraqi prisons in Baghdad, considering it an important step to enhance security and stability.

For his Part, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein provided a detailed explanation regarding the situation of ISIS members held in Iraqi prisons, emphasizing that the European Union and its member states have a responsibility to support the Iraqi government in managing this large and sensitive file, particularly since some of these terrorists hold European or Western nationalities, which requires greater international cooperation to share responsibilities.

H.E. the Dutch Minister expressed his country’s readiness to provide support to Iraq in this field, noting that the Dutch Embassy in Baghdad will coordinate with the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs to study ways of providing the necessary assistance to the Iraqi government in this regard.
