We would like to announce the Online Symposium in the UN on the Abductions Issue, which will take place on Wednesday, 24 June, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. (8:30 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. JST).
The symposium is open to everyone, free of charge, and no reservation is required.
The issue of abductions by North Korea is not a historical event but an ongoing problem, with victims still being denied their freedom and unable to return home, constituting an international challenge that requires immediate resolution.
The symposium will present appeals by the families of victims from Japan and other countries. Experts on the situation concerning North Korea will join to discuss and deepen understanding on ways for the immediate resolution of the abductions issue and its importance for the international community.
