A warm start to a new season 🇳🇱🇨🇾
Last night, Ambassador Wouter Plomp and his wife, Henriette Plomp-Winkler, welcomed friends and partners of the Embassy to the Dutch Residence.

It was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect, exchange news and say thank you to those who support and collaborate with us throughout the year.

A special thank you to our talented alumni who provided the perfect soundtrack to the evening.

We look forward to another season of working together, strengthening connections and creating new ones.

Ambassador Plomp met this morning with recently appointed Deputy Minister of Culture Mrs. Clea Hadjistephanou Papaellina. 🇳🇱 Today is Prinsjesdag (Budget Day) in the Netherlands!

King Willem-Alexander opens the parliamentary year with the Speech from the Throne, outlining the government’s plans for the year ahead. Later today, the government presents its national budget.

A day of tradition, ceremony and a look ahead to the Netherlands’ priorities for the coming year.

It was a pleasure to meet with former Prime Minister of The Netherlands Jan Peter Balkenende in Cyprus today.

Mr. Balkenende was the keynote speaker at the local branch of Ernst and Young economic forum "Cyprus Future Realized". Also speaking at the event were President of Cyprus, Nicos Christodoulides, other Cypriot officials and business people.

The main theme of the forum was to discuss challenges and opportunities in bringing foreign investments to Cyprus, including from the Netherlands.
