URGENT: Wael Naouar’s life is in critical danger.

After 18 days on a hunger strike, his health is rapidly deteriorating with fainting spells, acute respiratory distress, and severe medical complications.

Update on Wael Naouar’s health condition:

He has lost 18 kg of body weight.
He is experiencing difficulty speaking and sleeping.
He has ringing in his ears
He remains clear-minded.
He has not been transferred to hospital so far.
He remains determined to continue his hunger strike.

There are only 14 days left until the Tunisian courts decide the fate of the Sumud 4 after their arrest in March. There are only 14 days for us to act and ensure our collective voices cannot be ignored.

They stood with Palestine. Now we stand with them.

On March 6, 2026, seven Tunisian organizers were targeted and arrested for their unwavering solidarity and role in the GSF. Three have since been released under restrictive conditions. Four remain unjustly detained: Wael Naouar, Ghassan Bougdiri, Ghassan Henchiri, and Nabil Chennoufi.

We are racing against time, and silence is not an option. On September 16, the authorities are holding a session to potentially extend their detention pending trial and force further interrogation.

Our collective pressure right now can force their release and change their fate. We cannot stay silent while solidarity is criminalized.

We're joining the campaign to help make Archive Genocide known worldwide, use it to confront the israel regime and its enablers, and make genocide denial impossible.

Right now, an estimated 90% of the archive's reach is to English speakers. That's not because the rest of the world doesn't care. It's because the archive hasn't reached them yet, and we're calling on our global community to change that: share it in every language and every corner of the world.

Denial is genocide scholar Gregory Stanton's tenth stage of genocide, the stage where evidence gets buried and the record gets disputed. The israeli regime is working to bury this truth. Every share, every post, makes that work harder.

They tried to stop them, to leave them adrift, to silence their voyage. But these boats were built for more than just waves, they were built on hope.

Back at our base in Türkiye, every winch turned, every torn sail stitched, and every repair made is a promise: we will not abandon the mission. These vessels carry the weight of solidarity and the unbreakable spirit of a people who refuse to be erased.

Damaged, intercepted, but never defeated. Palestine is their north star. As long as the sea is open, our fleet will keep sailing for justice and freedom.

On day 9 of his Sumud Hunger Strike, Wael Nawar was visited in prison by his parents and two children.

In the reflections shared by Wael’s father, he describes the effect Wael is so well known for: he lifts the spirits of everyone around him.

“A fighter does not die until he surrenders” is what his father walked away from that visit having truly learned the meaning of.

We must fight together for the release of the Sumud 4 so that we may continue to fight together for the Liberation of Palestine.

There are forces all around us that want us to believe that we are isolated in our struggle. We stand united in our resistance against any forces that want to divide us.

The heart of internationalism is seeing the world as it is, shared and interlinked, and choosing solidarity both because our fates are tied together and because standing for freedom, anywhere, is how we become more free ourselves.

Klea is an Albanian living in the diaspora. Her family once made the difficult journey from Albania to Italy by sea. Now she is making that journey in reverse, and she speaks about what this return means to her and her family. Joined by Palestinian, Italian, and other activists from around the world, they sail together toward her homeland to support the freedom struggle of her people.

Klea sails as part of a Global Sumud Flotilla mission organized in response to the call from Albanian diaspora activists.

Six months of imprisonment without charge , the Sumud 4 are still held by the Tunisian authorities. Wael Newar has begun a hunger strike in protest of their unjust detainment, putting his life at risk in order to highlight the continued injustice.

In March 2026, Wael Nawar, Ghassen Boughdiri, Nabil Chennoufi, and Ghassen Henchiri were arrested alongside 3 other comrades due to their ongoing advocacy for Palestine.
