We had heavy rains all night long at Cielo Ranch Reserve that caused heavy flooding in our area. We had a close call with the cattle and some flood damage down at the River House, but nothing major.The Ceiba Trail and Peccary Loop trails will be closed at least for a few weeks due to flooding. Just another day in paradise. Pura Vida!!

The Rhino's are back. This big guy joined us for happy hour last night at Rosita's.Such an amazing example of the biodiversity her at Cielo Ranch Reserve Pura Vida!!

Well Turbo showed up the other day and it turns out Turbo is a Turbina. We hadn't seen her for over a month so we were pleasantly surprised to see her and her new baby. The sloth moths you can see are a normal site on three toed sloths. They need the sloth to survive and reproduce. The moth lays its eggs in the sloths dung when sloth comes down to do its business once a week, and also gets nutrients from the algae that grows on the sloths hair. Amazing! Our reforestation and conservation efforts at Cielo Ranch Reserve are working and we are very excited to see our sloth population growing. Come out and see Turbina! Pura Vida!
