In case anyone is wondering, YES we are here today for the FINAL DAY of the BIG BOOK SALE!!! Rainy days are great for reading. And for shopping for your next great read! Just saying...

Also, right this minute, it looks like it's clearing up!! 🌞🌞🌞

The last two days of the BIG BOOK SALE are today and tomorrow, (Thursday and Friday, November 16-17th) from 10:30am to 4:00pm!! Don't miss your chance to stock up on some great finds, only 1 mil ($2) per book OR Fill-a-Bag with Books for just 5 mil ($10)! Did we mention that YOU get to choose the size of the bag by bringing your own??? We have had some giant bags leaving the library full of great books over the last three days. (We can provide a plastic shopping bag if you don't have a reusable one, while supplies last.) We still have an amazing selection, so come by and see us for a friendly smile and relaxed browsing experience! Many thanks to all of the folks who have already stopped by and helped to support the library and our upcoming move!

Also, just a note that once the sale is done, we will be in full-on packing boxes and moving books mode, so we will not be able to lend out any books from now until the library is relocated and opened. If you have any books to return, please feel free to do so in Uvita, or you can wait until we are in our new space in Dominical. We'll be making an announcement soon about where that will be. Thanks again for your understanding and support!

Here's your daily BOOK SALE update!

*We no longer have any German or French books since they were all claimed yesterday.
*We still have books in Dutch.
*Also, all the children's books have been claimed. There may be a few titles here and there throughout the fiction section, but nothing for small children left.
*We still have TONS of fiction books and classics, and one box left of cookbooks and a small selection of biographies, memoirs, self-help, metaphysical and general non-fiction.
*We are hoping to bring out all the remaining boxes that we have not had room to bring out earlier in the week.

Buenos días! For those of you who were asking yesterday, YES we have new books out today! Our plan is to continue replenishing the supply throughout the week, and we still have six more boxes to bring out, so every day is a new shopping experience!😍😍😍

The BIG BOOK SALE starts TODAY at NOON! We have a little something for everyone, so come out and find a treasure (or three)!

Pricing: 1 book for c1000 (one mil) or $2 (two dollars)
OR...FILL A BAG WITH BOOKS for c5000 (five mil) or $10 (ten dollars)!!!!
Bring your own bag or use one of ours--your choice! Cash only, exact change appreciated but we will have a little bit of change available.

Also, we have some possible unpleasant weather in the forecast, and since the book sale must be outside due to space restrictions, we may need to adjust the schedule as the week progresses. Please check on our page for any updates! If we have to cancel part of the week's book sale due to the tropical weather event, we will tack on the same number of days for the sale next week that we lost this week. We're serious when we say we need to move some books!!

BIG NEWS, TIMES TWO! The Uvita Community Library will be relocating in the upcoming months because we have lost our lease at our current location next to Flor de la Sabana in Uvita. We have a tentative new space, and hope to be able to make that big announcement soon.

However, in the meantime, we can announce that we are having a BIG BOOK SALE at our current location in anticipation of our big move! The sale starts Monday, November 13th and will run through Friday, November 17th during mostly regular business hours. We will start around noon on Monday and run every day after that from 10:30am to 4:00pm.

We have all kinds of books for sale -- fiction, non-fiction, children's, and books in several different languages. We need to sell as many books as we can before we move, so come prepared to save on some awesome gently used books while supporting your local community library! We can't wait to see you!! 📚📖❤️
