The Embassy of Canada’s Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) team visited the National University of Costa Rica to attend a presentation by Dr. Chang-Hyun Kim, Ph.D., organized by the Ministry of Foreign Trade. 🖥️

Dr. Kim, from the University of Ottawa, delivered a presentation on semiconductors, flexible electronics, advanced computing, and talent development in the sector.

The TCS also highlighted the Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP) scholarship as an opportunity to support talent development and strengthen collaboration between Costa Rican and Canadian institutions, contributing to the growth of Costa Rica’s semiconductor ecosystem. 📚

✨ Mental Health Brochure Launch for Canadians in Costa Rica.

On September 2, the Embassy of Canada to Costa Rica launched a mental health brochure for Canadian citizens residing or temporarily staying abroad.

This resource provides practical guidance, relevant information, and support contacts available in Costa Rica for individuals who may face mental health challenges while away from Canada.

The event brought together local health sector authorities, members of the diplomatic corps, and partner organizations committed to the well-being of our communities.

Through this initiative, we aim to raise awareness about the importance of mental health, promote access to support resources, and encourage open conversations about a topic that is fundamental to people's well-being.
