¡Feliz Día de la Madre!

Las madres representan el cuidado, la entrega y ese espíritu de acompañar y hacer crecer a los demás. Valores que también fortalecen nuestra comunidad.

Desde la Biblioteca Kitson, queremos celebrar a todas las madres y reconocer de manera muy especial a aquellas que forman parte de nuestra red de colaboración: miembros del equipo, madres voluntarias, educadoras e integrantes del grupo de baile Esperanzas de mi Tierra, con su tiempo y compromiso, ayudan a que la biblioteca sea un espacio acogedor y lleno de oportunidades para todos.

Gracias por cuidar, acompañar, enseñar y construir comunidad junto a nosotros.

Cuando abrimos puertas para que las nuevas generaciones conozcan diferentes caminos educativos, técnicos y laborales, también les ayudamos a imaginar su futuro con más posibilidades.

Desde la Biblioteca David Kitson queremos felicitar con mucho cariño a nuestro querido José Ignacio Brenes, quien lideró, junto al Consejo Juvenil de Nosara, la realización de la Segunda Feria Vocacional de Nosara.

Esta iniciativa reunió a estudiantes del Colegio de Bocas de Nosara, CINDEA, Colegio de Ostional y Colegio de Marbella, además de otros miembros de la comunidad, creando un espacio para conocer de primera mano distintas opciones de educación universitaria, formación técnica y oportunidades laborales.

Nos llena de orgullo ver este tipo de liderazgo nacido desde nuestra propia comunidad: jóvenes creando espacios para otros jóvenes, acercando información, experiencias y alternativas que pueden ser claves al momento de decidir qué camino seguir.

La participación de estudiantes de diferentes niveles también permitió que quienes todavía tienen tiempo antes de tomar estas decisiones comenzarán desde ahora a explorar opciones, hacer preguntas y ampliar su visión sobre las posibilidades para su futuro.

¡Felicitaciones, José Ignacio, al Consejo Juvenil, a los centros educativos participantes y a todas las personas e instituciones que hicieron posible esta segunda feria!

When we open doors for new generations to learn about different educational, technical, and career paths, we also help them imagine a future with more possibilities.

From Biblioteca David Kitson, we want to warmly congratulate our dear José Ignacio Brenes, who, together with the Nosara Youth Council, led the organization of the Second Nosara Career Fair.

This initiative brought together students from Bocas de Nosara High School, CINDEA, Ostional High School, and Marbella High School, as well as other members of the community, creating a space where students could learn firsthand about different university education options, technical training programs, and career opportunities.

We are incredibly proud to see this kind of leadership coming from within our own community: young people creating opportunities for other young people, bringing information, experiences, and alternatives that can be key when deciding which path to pursue.

The participation of students from different grade levels also allowed those who still have time before making these decisions to start exploring their options now, asking questions, and broadening their understanding of the possibilities available for their future.

Congratulations, José Ignacio, the Youth Council, the participating schools, and everyone who helped make this second career fair possible!

El grupo de baile de la Biblioteca Kitson, “Esperanza de mi Tierra”, vivió una Guanacastequidad llena de presentaciones. Fue invitado a compartir las tradiciones de esta tierra tan bella en Tierra Magnífica (Beach Break), El Ruco, Rancho Tico, El Pepperoni y en las escuelas Santa Teresita, Santa Marta, Serapio López y CINDEA. Con cada presentación llevaron de orgullo, tradiciones y espíritu guanacasteco los escenarios de Nosara.

The David Kitson Library's dance group, "Esperanza de mi Tierra", celebrated Guanacaste Day with a full schedule of performances. The group was invited to share the traditions of this beautiful region at Tierra Magnífica (Beach Break), El Ruco, Rancho Tico, El Pepperoni, and the schools of Santa Teresita, Santa Marta, Serapio López, and CINDEA. With each performance, they proudly brought the traditions and spirit of Guanacaste to audiences throughout Nosara.

Dos semanas de aprendizaje, amistad y momentos que nos acompañarán por mucho tiempo.
Gracias a cada estudiante, a las familias, a los docentes voluntarios que hicieron posible esta hermosa experiencia.
¡Esto apenas comienza! Nos vemos muy pronto en la Fase #2.
