AT GLANCE: DTI Extends its support to Calamity-Affected MSMEs

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), through its financing arm, the Small Business Corporation (SBCorp), extended its support to calamity-affected MSMEs by organizing a one-day Financing Program Roadshow.

A total of 71 MSME loan applications were evaluated during the activity, and 51 of these applications were successfully approved on the same day, allowing qualified MSMEs to immediately access financial aid through the Enterprise Rehabilitation Financing (ERF) Program of SBCorp. This swift approval process underscores the government’s commitment to providing timely support and helping business owners rebuild their operations after recent calamities.

A significant number of applicants came from La Trinidad, highlighting the municipality’s active participation and the strong engagement of its MSME sector. Through this initiative, DTI and SBCorp continue to empower affected enterprises and promote local economic recovery and resilience.

The Small Business Corporation (SB Corp), in collaboration with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Baguio-Benguet, will conduct a rollout in the Municipality of La Trinidad to promote and offer its Enterprise Rehabilitation Financing (ERF) Loan Program.

This activity aims to assist micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from areas declared under a state of calamity by the NDRRMC. THIS ACTIVITY WILL SHOWCASE THE ON-SITE END-TO-END ONLINE BORROWER REGISTRATION AND LOAN APPLICATION PROCESS, WITH GUARANTEED LOAN APPROVAL WITHIN THE SAME DAY.

Through this, SB Corp seeks to support business owners in recovering and rebuilding their enterprises, providing them with accessible financing options to help restore operations and sustain livelihoods after disasters.

New borrowers will only need to submit the following:
1. 2024 & 2025 Mayor's Permit or BMBE Certificate for loans morethan 100K; or Barangay Certification/Barangay Permit for loans up to 100K; (original copy, certified original copy, or clear digital photo of the original copy);
2. Clear Digital photos of Business Signage, Business Inventories and Business Assets;
3. Government Issued ID;
4. Proof of Bank Account; and
5 Corporate Documents if applicable
