A decade of conservation, research, and restoration has helped safeguard its biodiversity and ecological value — serving as a model for conservation beyond national parks. We’re grateful to for supporting and promoting the role of private reserves in Colombia’s conservation landscape.

Thanks to , for visiting us during the field component of their course .hondar - an interdisciplinary course developed by the departments of Architecture, Geosciences, and Biology to study how these fields interrelate, and how this is uniquely present in Honda.

Students were able to study the Tropical Dry Forest at El Triunfo, discovering how the geomorphology of the area has influenced the species present, and how this has created a unique ecosystem nestled in Honda’s magnificent landscape, shaped by the Magdalena River, its peoples, and its exuberating nature.

This peak has been considered a sacred site since the time the Ondamas inhabited the area more than 6 centuries ago, and still continues to stun anyone that gets a chance to gaze through the dense Tropical Dry Forest mixed within the beautifully weathered geology of the Lumbí mountain range.

Esta Piaya cayana fue capturada durante nuestra expedición de .bio BIO - Alas, Cantos, y Colores dónde recorrimos los pasos del ornitólogo Frank Chapman en la Hacienda hace más de un siglo.

Commonly called la 'Rana platanera' in Colombia, this frog has the ability to change its colours to camouflage itself with its surroundings during the day.

Boa chocolate - Epicrates maurus

This species is a non-venomous and semi-arboreal constrictor known for their beautiful iridescent scales that change colour with sunlight.
