Lujiazui HARBOUR CITY is the world’s most advanced redevelopment to become an iconic landmark of Shanghai, one of the most highly evolved cosmopolitan cities. Through this project, Public Art for Lujiazui HARBOUR CITY, we aim to bring a new breath of life to the newly redeveloped area. Art uncovers the past, testifies to the present, and has premonitions about the future, gives them form and commu
nicates them to others. Embedding art, as the manifestation of the human spirit, in public spaces leads to giving a human touch to communal areas of the city and promotes its growth. Site-specific art, created through a collaborative process, connects people and places, encourages a sense of belonging, and fosters a friendly, accessible atmosphere for residents and visitors. It opens up the community and gives it individuality. With a highly celebrated Japanese Artist, Fram Kitagawa as the Art Director of this project, and Art Front Gallery as coordinator, we will bring artists from all over the world and create the newest and greatest landmark that everyone cannot stop talking about.

陸家嘴濱江金融城位於中國上海核心CBD陸家嘴，是極具濱江特色的超大型高科技城市綜合體開發項目之一。作為國際大都會，這個整體開發項目將會帶領陸家嘴成為上海的新地標。本項目的場地為25萬平方米。在這個廣闊的場地裡，將建設由OMA、隈研吾、KPF、BENOY、Arquitectonica等國際著名建築師和事務所設計的集金融辦公、地標商業、藝術中心、頂級豪宅、高端配套五大功能為一體的「高端城市綜合體」。同時在場地內40多個點位將展開由全世界頂級藝術家進行的大規模公共藝術作品創作，為上海注入活力，打造一個獨一無二的城市文化空間。
藝術乃發掘歷史的印記，耙梳當代的證明，塑造新世代的預感，同時具備感動人心的魅力。
藝術乃「人類精神的體現」，融入城市的阡陌中，為公共空間增添上人文氣息，繼而促進城市發展出新的空間意象。
在地藝術強調在創造過程當中的參與及互動，
透過連系人與環境，從而建立在地居民、以至外來群眾對土地的歸屬感以及建立親密的關系。
以藝術為窗口，邀請群眾直接參與，為城市賦予獨特的涵養。
由世界知名策展人北川富朗擔任本案藝術總監，由Afr Front Gallery擔任藝術計劃制作。我們將號召全球藝術家參與提案，並且一同創造出最具話題性並且嶄新的公共藝術。
