๐ต๐๐๐๐๐๐ โ On Saturday 23rd May, on a beautiful spring evening, the Solomon Islands Embassy in China actively participated at the first ever Pacific Day 2026, held at the New Zealand Embassy in Beijing.
The diplomatic event was a joint celebration between the Embassy of New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Island Countries in Beijing, which is purposely designed, focusing on unity, people to people connections and the display of the Pacific regionโs rich cultural diversity through art, music, dances, and cuisine amongst others.
On behalf of the Embassy, Ambassador Barrett Salato would like to sincerely acknowledge the New Zealand Embassy for being an excellent host, and for successfully collaborating with other Pacific Islands Embassies in Beijing to make this event a success. H.E Salato also extended his profound gratitude to the Solomon Islands students in Beijing for the cultural performances, that highlighted our diverse and beautiful country, and also to the guest singer โ Young Davie, who brought in island music vibes that captivated the audience.
