Embassy of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Beijing/ 特立尼达和多巴哥驻华大使馆(北京) The Embassy advances the interests of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in the People's Republic of China, and in other states to which it is accredited.

The Embassy of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in the People’s Republic of China was officially opened on February 26, 2014, by the Honourable Kamla Persad-Bissessar, then Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. The Embassy is also accredited to the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, the Kingdom of Thailand, Brunei Darussalam, the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam

, and the Republic of the Philippines.

特立尼达和多巴哥共和国驻中华人民共和国大使馆于2014年2月26日由时任特立尼达和多巴哥共和国总理的卡姆拉·珀塞德-比塞萨尔阁下正式开馆。此使馆同时也被委任为负责大韩民国、马来西亚、泰王国、文莱达鲁萨兰国、柬埔寨王国、越南社会主义共和国和菲律宾共和国的外交机构

The Embassy processes applications for Trinidad and Tobago visas made by Chinese and other foreign nationals, and facilitates applications for renewals of machine-readable Trinidad and Tobago passports for nationals of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

使馆承接中国和其他外国公民前往特立尼达和多巴哥的签证申请并帮助特立尼达和多巴哥公民申请可机读特立尼达和多巴哥护照的延期申请。

Consular Services领事服务
The Embassy provides consular services to nationals of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago residing in the People’s Republic of China, as well as the countries under the Embassy’s accreditation.

使馆为在华及以上委任国居住的特立尼达和多巴哥公民提供领事服务。

The Embassy provides support to Trinidad and Tobago business interests in doing business in the People’s Republic of China, and vice versa.

使馆向对有兴趣在中华人民共和国开展商务活动的特立尼达和多巴哥公民提供支持,反之亦然(即也向对有兴趣在特立尼达和多巴哥共和国开展商务活动的中国公民提供支持)。

On April 08, 2026, His Excellency Ro Jae-hun, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the People’s Republic of China hosted a luncheon with non-resident ambassadors and chargés d’affaires of Embassies in Beijing with concurrent accreditation to Korea. The engagement presented an opportunity for the newly appointed Ambassador of Korea to officially meet with accredited envoys to exchange ideas, deepen working relationships and foster mutual understanding between Korea and the respective countries. On April 07, 2026, the Embassy warmly welcomed a delegation of Chinese youths from Liaoning Province as part of its ongoing cultural diplomacy initiative aimed to promote Trinidad and Tobago’s cultural assets and to foster mutual understanding between the two countries.

During the visit, Mr. Dwayne Thompson, Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. extended warm greetings to the young visitors and presented on various facets of Trinidad and Tobago’s diverse culture (including art, music, festivals and the steelpan) and highlighted the close people-to-people bond that exists between the two countries. Following the presentation, the young attendees were keen to try their hands at the steelpan and learn more about our iconic national instrument.

On March 25, 2026, Mr. Dwayne Thompson, Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. of the Embassy participated in the 5th iteration of the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) Ambassadors’ Dialogue hosted by Tsinghua University, in Beijing, China. The event featured the attendence of senior officials of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, diplomatic envoys and members of the leadership of Tsinghua University.

Hosted under the theme, ‘China’s 15th Five-Year Plan and Economic Transformation’, the dialogue focused on China-LAC investments and development in new infrastructure sectors, including Information and Communication Technology (ICT), renewable energy and high-end manufacturing.

Effective March 17, 2026, the Online Arrival/Departure Card Platform will officially go live, replacing the traditional paper forms previously completed by travellers.

All persons entering or leaving Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹 will now be required to complete their Arrival or Departure Card online prior to travel.
The platform is free, secure, and convenient, and the form can be completed up to 72 hours before travel.

Once submitted, travellers will receive a receipt with 2 QR codes, which should be downloaded or saved and presented to Immigration and Customs Officers upon arrival or departure.

Access the platform at travel.gov.tt and enjoy a simpler, faster, and more convenient travel experience.

Over the period February 26 to 28, 2026, Mr. Dwayne Thompson, Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. participated in a working visit to Xiamen City, Fujian Province. The visit was co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China and the Fujian Provincial Foreign Affairs Office. Participating envoys had the opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of China’s candidature to host the Secretariat of the Agreement under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea on the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity of Areas beyond National Jurisdiction(BNNJ), which featured visits to the Xiatanwei Mangrove Park, the proposed BNNJ Secretariat facilities and the Institute of Oceanography.
