No. 6 Typhoon of the year,  (tropical storm), formed over the northwestern Pacific Ocean on the morning of May 27.

Recently, we explore the Nantong Meteorological Museum in Jiangsu, China and discover a black wooden bird.
This was an ancient “wind-measuring device.”

When the wind blows, the bird’s body rotates; by observing the direction it faces, one can determine the wind direction—where its sharp beak points indicates the wind‘s direction.
Ancient people placed such a wooden bird in a high location to capture even the slightest movements of the wind, recording wind speed and direction in real time to support .

When comparing the working principles of modern wind measurement instruments, it is evident that the functions and structural combinations of components such as wind vanes and wind gauges still incorporate design concepts from the ancient wooden wind-measuring bird.
