Colonel Onambele Lauds Defense & Security Forces for Peace in Bangem

The Commander of the 21st Motorized Infantry Brigade South West Region, Colonel Onambele Louis has lauded defense and security forces in Bangem, Kupe Muanenguba Division, for the peace that reign in the Sub Division.

The Colonel was speaking in Bangem, November 10, 2024 during an operational control visit to evaluate the state of services under his jurisdiction and the moral of elements in the field.

In a courtesy visit to the Senior Divisional Officer of Kupe Muanenguba, Mungambo Ekema William, he welcomed the colonel and his entourage to Bangem. He said his coming to Bangem is timely to reinforce peace in the area.

The SDO said the entire division is calm but for some traces of insecurity still in Nguti Sub Division. He said the population of Nguti is yet to fully return to the village because of the insecurity.

Mungambo also mentioned the absence of service vehicles to facilitate the work of security forces in Bangem in particular and Kupe Muanenguba in general.

In return Colonel Onambele thanked the SDO for welcoming them on a Sunday where he is supposed to be resting.

He promised to look into the difficulties faced by his elements for possible solutions.

From the SDO’s office, Colonel Onambele and his entourage moved to the esplanade of the Company Gendarmerie Bangem.

In a closed door discussion with the Company Commander, Ngoa Ngoa Edmond Jacque, he presented a report of his service, the moral state of his elements including difficulties faced and proposed solution.

At the end of the session, the SDO, the Divisional Officer of Bangem Sub Division, Dairou Saly, the Paramount Ruler of Bangem, HRM Chief Nnane Nnoko Emmanuel, the 1st Deputy State Counsel of the High Court of Kupe Muanenguba and Court of Frist Instance Bangem, Magistrate Olivia Kesang Kumfa, the First Deputy Mayor of Bangem Council, Enongenepie Manga amongst other dignitaries joined the Company Commander for a lunch offered to Colonel Onambele and his entourage.

Other members of Colonel Onambele’s entourage include; the Legion Commander of Gendarmerie, South West, Colonel Kola, the Chief of the 10th Military Health Sector, South West, Colonel Doctor Ewane Paulin, the 21st Motorized Infantry Battalion, BIM Buea, Esengue Amougou, the 23rd Motorized Infantry Battalion for Kupe Muanenguba and Moungo, Etuge Henesenge Lordson, amongst others.

Bangem-Nguti Road Construction:
Geotechnical Team Identifies Quarry Pits at Mbat and Nyan Villages

The geotechnical team for the construction of the Bangem-Nguti road has identified quarry pits at Mbat and Nyan villages, Bangem Sub Division.

The discovery was made during a tour on November 5, 2024 by the project team headed by the Divisional Delegate of Public Works Kupe Muanenguba, Shu Renny.

Other members of the team were the Mayor of Bangem Council, Ekungwe Kang Christopher, the head of the Rapid Intervention Battalion, BIR executing the construction works, and the Section President of CPDM Kupe Muanenguba I Section, Mesumbe Mbukelome Ambrose.

The project team started investigation at Mbat village and was received by the Chief, retired Colonel Ngwesse Michael, who joined them in the investigation.

The team found a good quarry pit at Mabt that will be exploited for the Bangem-Nguti road construction.

From Mbat, the team proceeded to Nyan village
where they also traced a good quarry pit that will be effectively used for the road construction.

According to Shu, the geotechnical team will visit the quarry pits in the days ahead to carry out a complete investigation.

He appreciated the local population for their collaboration in ensuring that they succeed in their mission.

The delegate pleaded that this collaboration should continue throughout work on the Bangem-Nguti road for the timely realization of the project.

CPDM Kupe Muanenguba I Section Stage Mega thank you Rally for the Construction of Bangem-Nguti Road.

Militants of the Cameroon Peoples Democratic Movement, CPDM Kupe Muanenguba I Section, Bangem have staged a Mega thank you Rally for a Fulfilled promise by H.E Paul Biya for the Construction of the Bangem-Nguti Road.

The ceremony took place on November 6, 2024 in Bangem on the occasion of the celebration of the 42nd anniversary of H.E Paul Biya’s accession to the Supreme Magistracy of Cameroon by CPDM Kupe Muanenguba I Section, Bangem, under the theme, “Let us all Mobilize as one behind President Paul Biya to ensure Stability and Progress of Cameroon around the Ideals of Peace and National Unity”.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Charge the Mission and Head of CPDM Central Committee Permanent Delegation to Kupe Muanenguba I Section, Bangem, Mbong Michael Mbine disclosed that President Paul Biya has distinguished Kupe Muanenguba Division since its creation in 1993.

He said the Head of State has always appointed a son from Kupe Muanenguba each time a government is formed.

Mbong who is also Deputy General Manager of Maetur said the construction of the Bangem-Nguti road will pave the way for major development of the division.

“We have to continuously support President Biya for the consolidation of national unity. He is our natural candidate for the forthcoming Presidential Elections”. He announced.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Mayor of Bangem Council, Ekungwe Kang Christopher, congratulated President Biya for the socio-economic development of Kupe Muanenguba.

Business and Touristic Potentials

Mayor Ekungwe was excited that the Bangem-Nguti road will open up the cocoa rich area of Bangem Sub Division, easy access to timber, sand, quarries and non-timber forest resources.

He said farmers and businessmen shall have easy access to the markets of Kumba, Mamfe and even Nigeria.

The Mayor further revealed that upon completion, the road shall give exposure to the overwhelming touristic potential of Bangem municipality like Lake Bermin, the underground caves at Ekona Bajoh, the United falls at Ebang with over five rivers merging at the same place and the river Nloh with wonderful species of fishes.

Reflecting on the theme of the celebration, the Section President of CPDM Kupe Muanenguba I Section, Mesumbe Mbukelome Ambrose said the division is blessed and have every reason to mobilize strongly behind President Paul Biya.

He described the Bangem-Nguti road as an economic road that will open the bread basket for Cameroon, Africa and the world at large.
Mesumbe reminded the militants of the political slogan, “you scratch my back, I scratch yours”.

Motion of Support

In a motion of support to the Head of State read by the YCPDM Section President Kupe Muanenguba I, Nkwelle Peter Atabe, he said noting with appreciation the construction of the Bangem-Nguti road, they pledge their unflinching support to President Biya in all his endeavors in the furtherance of development, peace and living together.

The event also witnessed paper presentations by Ewane Cliford Ngabe, Sub Section President of CPDM Nhia III Sub Section, Ekambeng on “Political Education and Political Participation”.

Enongenepie Manga talked on “Community Participation in Nation Building, Hygiene and Sanitation and Civil Status Documents”.

While the Youth Council President for Kupe Muanenguba I, Ngide Lord Brown presented on the achievements of the New Deal Regime under the stewardship of H.E Paul Biya as Head of State from 1982 to 2024.
