Ambassador Hosts Dinner in Honour of the Ambassador of Malaysia to Chile

เมื่อวันที่ 2 กันยายน 2569 นางสาววิมลพัชระ รักษาเกียรติ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงซันติอาโก เป็นเจ้าภาพเลี้ยงอาหารค่ำ ณ ทำเนียบเอกอัครราชทูตฯ เพื่อเป็นเกียรติแก่นาย Suresh Kumar เอกอัครราชทูตมาเลเซียประจำประเทศชิลี และนาง Nirmala Krishna ภริยา ในโอกาสเข้ารับหน้าที่ โดยมีเอกอัครราชทูตแอฟริกาใต้และอินโดนีเซียประจำประเทศชิลีพร้อมภริยา ผู้แทนสถานเอกอัครราชทูตมาเลเซียประจำประเทศชิลี และข้าราชการสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ เข้าร่วมด้วย

เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้กล่าวต้อนรับเอกอัครราชทูตมาเลเซียฯ และภริยา พร้อมแสดงความยินดีในโอกาสเข้ารับหน้าที่ในประเทศชิลี และเน้นย้ำถึงความสัมพันธ์อันใกล้ชิดระหว่างกันในฐานะประเทศเพื่อนบ้านและประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียน โดยเฉพาะการให้ความช่วยเหลือและสนับสนุนซึ่งกันและกันในต่างแดนเสมือนสมาชิกครอบครัว ทั้งนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ยังได้กล่าวถึงความประทับใจที่เอกอัครราชทูตมาเลเซียฯ ได้ไปร่วมให้กำลังใจทีมวอลเลย์บอลหญิงทีมชาติไทย รุ่นอายุไม่เกิน 17 ปี ในการแข่งขัน FIVB Volleyball Girls’ U17 World Championship 2026 ที่กรุงซันติอาโก เมื่อเดือนสิงหาคมที่ผ่านมา พร้อมทั้งอวยพรให้เอกอัครราชทูตมาเลเซียฯ และภริยา ประสบความสำเร็จในการปฏิบัติหน้าที่และใช้ชีวิตในประเทศชิลีอย่างราบรื่น

ในโอกาสเดียวกัน เอกอัครราชทูตมาเลเซียฯ ได้กล่าวขอบคุณสำหรับไมตรีจิตและการต้อนรับอย่างอบอุ่น และแสดงความพร้อมที่จะร่วมมือกับสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ อย่างใกล้ชิดต่อไป โดยการเลี้ยงอาหารค่ำเป็นไปด้วยบรรยากาศที่อบอุ่นและเป็นกันเอง เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้จัดเลี้ยงอาหารไทยหลากหลายเมนูที่ปรุงโดยแม่ครัวทำเนียบเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้แก่ ถุงทอง ล่าเตียง ก๋วยเตี๋ยวปากหม้อ ยำปลาแซลมอนและปลาทูน่า ฉู่ฉี่ปลาแซลมอน กุ้งทอดซอสมะขาม ไก่ผัดเม็ดมะม่วง และลูกชุบ

On 2 September 2026, H.E. Ms. Vimolbajra Ruksakiati, Ambassador of Thailand to Chile, hosted a dinner at the Ambassador’s Residence in honour of H.E. Mr. Suresh Kumar, Ambassador of Malaysia to Chile, and Mrs. Nirmala Krishna, on the occasion of his assumption of duty in Chile. The dinner was attended by the Ambassadors of South Africa and Indonesia to Chile and their spouses, representatives of the Embassy of Malaysia, and officials of the Royal Thai Embassy.

On the occasion, the Ambassador welcomed the Ambassador of Malaysia and his spouse and congratulated him on his new assignment in Chile. She underscored the close ties between Thailand and Malaysia as neighbouring countries and ASEAN Member States, particularly the importance of supporting and looking after one another while serving abroad as members of the same family. The Ambassador also expressed her appreciation for the Ambassador of Malaysia’s participation in cheering on Thailand’s U17 Women’s National Volleyball Team during the FIVB Volleyball Girls’ U17 World Championship 2026 in Santiago in August, which reflected the close friendship between the two countries. She wished the Ambassador and his spouse a smooth and successful assignment and a pleasant stay in Chile.

In response, the Ambassador of Malaysia expressed his appreciation for the warm hospitality and kind gesture, and looked forward to close cooperation with the Royal Thai Embassy in the future. The dinner was held in a warm and cordial atmosphere, with a selection of Thai dishes prepared by the chef of the Ambassador’s Residence, including golden bags, Thai egg-net wrapped appetizers, Thai spicy Chilean salmon and tuna salad, salmon in red curry sauce, crispy prawns with tamarind sauce, stir-fried chicken with cashew nuts, and Thai marzipan-style mung bean confectionery.

The Ambassador signed the Book of Condolence following the passing of His Majesty King Harald V of Norway

เมื่อวันที่ 1 กันยายน 2569 นางสาววิมลพัชระ รักษาเกียรติ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงซันติอาโก ได้เดินทางไปลงนามในสมุดลงนามถวายความอาลัย ณ ทำเนียบเอกอัครราชทูตนอร์เวย์ประจำประเทศชิลี เพื่อร่วมแสดงความอาลัยและรำลึกถึงพระเกียรติคุณของสมเด็จพระราชาธิบดีฮารัลด์ที่ 5 แห่งนอร์เวย์ ซึ่งเสด็จสวรรคตเมื่อวันที่ 28 สิงหาคม 2569

เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้กล่าวแสดงความเสียใจต่อนาย Per Anders Nilsen เอกอัครราชทูตนอร์เวย์ประจำประเทศชิลี และรำลึกถึงโอกาสที่ได้เคยเข้าเฝ้าฯ สมเด็จพระราชาธิบดีฮารัลด์ที่ 5 ในระหว่างดำรงตำแหน่งเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงออสโล ระหว่างปี 2562 - 2567 ตลอดจนได้กล่าวถึงสายสัมพันธ์อันใกล้ชิดและยาวนานระหว่างไทยกับนอร์เวย์ ซึ่งมีความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตที่ใกล้ชิดยาวนานกว่า 120

I will forever cherish a memory of serving as the Thai Ambassador to Norway for four years and four months from 2019 to 2024. Even though half of it was during the COVID time, but I was deeply honoured to be received by His Majesty King Harald V several times along with other Ambassadors.

His Majesty’s kindness and his warm smile with the great sense of humour will forever remain in my heart.

His Majesty King Harald V has carried his responsibility with warmth, dignity, and humanity. He was an exceptionally inclusive King and had a personality that made all he met feel close. The King of the people, loved by the people.

I pay tribute to His Majesty King Harald V.

It is with profound sorrow that on the passing of His Majesty I extend my deepest condolences to Her Majesty Queen Sonja, the Royal Family of Norway, the Norwegian people and its government for this irreparable loss of the beloved Grandfather of Norway and to the world. May they find comfort and strength in the memories and love shared.

On 1 September 2026, H.E. Ms. Vimolbajra Ruksakiati, Ambassador of Thailand to Chile, signed the Book of Condolences at the Residence of the Ambassador of Norway to Chile, following the passing of His Majesty King Harald V of Norway on 28 August 2026.

During the visit, the Ambassador conveyed her deepest condolences to H.E. Mr. Per Anders Nilsen, Ambassador of Norway to Chile. The Ambassador also recalled the occasion on which she had the honour of an audience with His Majesty King Harald V during her tenure as Ambassador of Thailand to Norway from 2019 to 2024. The Ambassador further reflected on the close and longstanding ties between Thailand and Norway, which have enjoyed more than 120 years of close and friendly diplomatic relations.

On this occasion, Ambassador Raksakiat wrote the following message of condolence in the Book of Condolences:

The Royal Thai Embassy Screened “Morte Cucina” and “HEALS” to Conclude Thai Film Festival in Santiago 2026

เมื่อวันที่ 22 สิงหาคม 2569 นางสาววิมลพัชระ รักษาเกียรติ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงซันติอาโก เข้าร่วมการฉายภาพยนตร์เรื่อง “HEALS” ณโรงภาพยนตน์ Sala K ซึ่งเป็นภาพยนตร์ปิดเทศกาลเทศกาลภาพยนตร์ไทย ณ กรุงซันติอาโก 2569 (Thai Film Festival in Santiago 2026) โดยมีผู้สนใจภาพยนตร์ไทยเข้าร่วมงานกว่า 200 คน

ในโอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้กล่าวต้อนรับผู้เข้าร่วมงานและแสดงความยินดีที่เทศกาลภาพยนตร์ไทย ณ กรุงซันติอาโกประสบความสำเร็จด้วยดี โดยตลอดการจัดเทศกาล ภาพยนตร์ไทยทั้ง 4 เรื่องได้รับการตอบรับที่ดีจากผู้ชมชาวชิลี สะท้อนให้เห็นถึงความสนใจและความชื่นชอบที่เพิ่มขึ้นต่อภาพยนตร์ ซีรีส์ วัฒนธรรม และผลงานสร้างสรรค์ของไทยในภูมิภาคลาตินอเมริกา

เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้กล่าวถึงภาพยนตร์เรื่อง HEALS ว่าเป็นภาพยนตร์ที่มีความหมายเป็นพิเศษ เนื่องจากนำเสนอเรื่องราวของ Pangina Heals ศิลปินชาวไทยผ่านเส้นทางชีวิตและความท้าทาย ที่สะท้อนให้เห็นถึงความสำคัญของความกล้าที่จะเป็นตัวของตัวเอง ตลอดจนได้กล่าวถึงกรุงเทพมหานครฯ ในฐานะผู้สมัครเป็นเจ้าภาพงาน WorldPride 2030 ซึ่งได้นำเสนอความหลากหลายและการเปิดกว้างของสังคมไทย โดยผู้เข้าร่วมงานได้รับชมวีดิทัศน์แนะนำการเสนอตัวของกรุงเทพฯ ด้วย

นอกจากนี้ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้จัดฉายภาพยนตร์เรื่อง “Morte Cucina” เมื่อวันที่ 21 สิงหาคม 2569 ณ โรงภาพยนตร์ Sala K ซึ่งเป็นภาพยนตร์ที่ผสมผสานเรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับอาหารไทย กับเรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับความสัมพันธ์ ความลึกลับ และการล้างแค้น ซึ่งได้รับความสนใจจากผู้เข้าชมมากกว่า 200 คนเช่นเดียวกัน

On 22 August 2026, H.E. Ms. Vimolbajra Ruksakiati, Ambassador of Thailand to Chile, attended the screening of “HEALS” at Sala K, which served as the closing film of the Thai Film Festival in Santiago 2026. The screening was attended by more than 200 people interested in Thai cinema.

On the occasion, the Ambassador welcomed the audience and expressed her appreciation for the success of the Thai Film Festival in Santiago. Throughout the Festival, all 4 Thai films received positive feedback from Chilean audiences, reflecting the growing interest in Thai films, series, culture and creative works in Latin America.

The Ambassador highlighted HEALS as a particularly meaningful film, as it follows the journey of Pangina Heals, a Thai artist, and explores her personal journey and challenges, highlighting the importance of having the courage to be oneself. She also spoke about Bangkok’s candidacy to host WorldPride 2030, which seeks to showcase the openness and diversity of Thai society. On the occasion, the audience also watched a video introducing Bangkok’s bid to host the event.

The Embassy also screened “Morte Cucina” on 21 August 2026 at Sala K. The film combines Thai cuisine with a story of relationships, mystery and revenge, and was likewise well received, attracting more than 200 attendees.

The Royal Thai Embassy expresses its sincere appreciation to all Chilean audiences for their support and positive response to the four films featured in the Festival: Ta Khon, Gohan, Morte Cucina, and HEALS. The Embassy also extends its gratitude to all partners and relevant organisations, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, the Ministry of Culture of Thailand, and the National Federation of Thai Film Associations, for their support in making the Festival possible.

The Embassy hopes that audiences in Chile will continue to discover and enjoy Thai films, series, and other creative works, contributing to further cultural exchange and connections between the people of Thailand and Chile.

La Embajada Real de Tailandia en Santiago invita a la comunidad budista, a la comunidad tailandesa y a todas las personas interesadas a escuchar la charla sobre el Dhamma “Resultados del Camino: Contentamiento y Felicidad”, impartida por Ajahn Vajiro, del Monasterio Amaravati, Reino Unido, y Ajahn Mudito, abad del Monasterio Suddhavāri, Brasil. Ambos venerables monjes ofrecieron enseñanzas en inglés y español sobre cómo aplicar los principios budistas en la vida cotidiana para cultivar el contentamiento y la felicidad.

La charla se realizó el 29 de junio de 2026 en el NH Collection Santiago Plaza, como parte de la iniciativa Dhamma Diplomacy de la Embajada, cuyo objetivo es difundir las enseñanzas budistas, crear espacios para que budistas y personas interesadas en el budismo en el extranjero puedan aprender y practicar el Dhamma juntos, y fomentar el entendimiento mutuo y los vínculos entre las personas.

Invitamos a todos a escuchar la charla, reflexionar sobre sus enseñanzas y aplicarlas en la vida cotidiana, así como a practicar la meditación para cultivar el bienestar y la paz interior. Nos unimos en el mérito de todos quienes participan en la escucha y práctica del Dhamma.

The Royal Thai Embassy in Santiago wishes to invite Buddhists, members of the Thai community, and those who are interested to listen to the Dhamma talk “The Results of the Practice: Contentment and Happiness” (Resultados del Camino: Contentamiento y Felicidad), delivered by Ajahn Vajiro of Amaravati Buddhist Monastery, United Kingdom, and Ajahn Mudito, Abbot of Suddhavāri Buddhist Monastery, Brazil. The Venerable monks kindly offered teachings in English and Spanish on applying Buddhist principles in daily life to cultivate contentment and happiness.

The Dhamma talk took place on 29 June 2026 at NH Collection Santiago Plaza as part of the Embassy’s Dhamma Diplomacy initiative, which aims to share Buddhist teachings, create opportunities for Buddhists and those interested in Buddhism abroad to learn and practise the Dhamma together, and promote mutual understanding and people-to-people relations.

We invite everyone to listen to the Dhamma talk, reflect upon the teachings and apply them in daily life, as well as to practise meditation for well-being and inner peace. We rejoice in the merit of all those who join in listening to and practising the Dhamma.

Ambassador Attended ASEAN Day Celebration and Handover of the ASEAN Committee in Santiago Chairship

เมื่อวันที่ 11 สิงหาคม 2569 นางสาววิมลพัชระ รักษาเกียรติ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงซันติอาโก ได้เข้าร่วมพิธีฉลองการก่อตั้งอาเซียน ณ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตอินโดนีเซียประจำประเทศชิลี โดยมีเอกอัครราชทูตอินโดนีเซีย มาเลเซีย และผู้แทนจากสถานเอกอัครราชทูตเวียดนามและฟิลิปปินส์ประจำชิลีเข้าร่วมด้วย

ในโอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้ร่วมพิธีเชิญธงอาเซียนขึ้นสู่ยอดเสา จากนั้น ได้เข้าร่วมการประชุมคณะกรรมการอาเซียนประจำกรุงซันติอาโก (ASEAN Committee in Santiago – ACS) ซึ่งมีนาย Vedi Kurnia Buana เอกอัครราชทูตอินโดนีเซียฯ เป็นประธานการประชุมในฐานะประธานหมุนเวียนของ ACS โดยที่ประชุมได้แลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นเกี่ยวกับผลสำเร็จของการจัดกิจกรรมภายใต้การเป็นประธานของอินโดนีเซีย ซึ่งมีการจัดกิจกรรมที่มีผลลัพธ์อันเป็นรูปธรรม เช่น การเดินทางเยือนแคว้น Antofagasta ของคณะทูตอาเซียน และการบรรยายเกี่ยวกับอาเซียนให้กับสถาบันการทูต Andres Bello ของชิลี

ในโอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้กล่าวชื่นชมอินโดนีเซียสำหรับการดำรงตำแหน่งประธาน ACS และการจัดกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ ที่ช่วยส่งเสริมความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับอาเซียนในชิลี ตลอดจนการเสริมสร้างความสัมพันธ์และเครือข่ายระหว่างประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนกับภาคส่วนต่าง ๆ ของชิลี โดยเน้นย้ำถึงความสำคัญของความเป็นอันหนึ่งอันเดียวกันและการประสานงานอย่างใกล้ชิดระหว่างประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนในกรุงซันติอาโก เพื่อส่งเสริมผลประโยชน์ร่วมกันและขับเคลื่อนความสัมพันธ์อาเซียน – ชิลีให้มีความก้าวหน้าอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม ตลอดจนให้ความเห็นว่า การจัดบรรยายให้กับนักการทูตของชิลีในสถาบันการทูต Andres Bello เป็นกิจกรรมที่มีประโยชน์และควรดำเนินการอย่างต่อเนื่องในโอกาสต่อไป

จากนั้น ผู้แทนสถานเอกอัครราชทูตอาเซียนประจำชิลี ได้เข้าร่วมพิธีมอบตำแหน่งประธาน ACS ให้แก่นาย Suresh Kumar เอกอัครราชทูตมาเลเซียฯ ซึ่งจะดำรงตำแหน่งประธาน ACS เป็นระยะเวลา 6 เดือน โดยเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้แสดงความยินดีและพร้อมสนับสนุนการดำเนินงานของมาเลเซียในฐานะประธาน ACS ต่อไป และได้ร่วมกันรับประทานอาหารกลางวันในบรรยากาศที่เป็นมิตรและเปี่ยมด้วยไมตรีจิต สะท้อนถึงความสัมพันธ์อันใกล้ชิดและความร่วมมือที่ดีระหว่างสถานเอกอัครราชทูตประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนในกรุงซันติอาโก

On 11 August 2026, H.E. Ms. Vimolbajra Ruksakiati, Ambassador of Thailand to Chile, attended a ceremony marking ASEAN Day at the Embassy of Indonesia in Chile. The event was attended by the Ambassadors of Indonesia and Malaysia, as well as representatives of the Embassies of Vietnam and the Philippines in Chile.

On the occasion, the Ambassador joined the ASEAN flag-raising ceremony, followed by a meeting of the ASEAN Committee in Santiago (ACS), chaired by H.E. Mr. Vedi Kurnia Buana, Ambassador of Indonesia to Chile, in his capacity as Chair of the ACS. The meeting reviewed the achievements of activities undertaken during Indonesia’s chairship, including a visit by ASEAN diplomatic representatives to the Antofagasta Region and a lecture on ASEAN for diplomats at the Andrés Bello Diplomatic Academy of Chile.

The Ambassador commended Indonesia for its leadership of the ACS and for organising activities that have contributed to enhancing understanding of ASEAN in Chile, as well as strengthening relations and networks between ASEAN Member States and Chilean stakeholders. She underscored the importance of ASEAN unity and close coordination among ASEAN Member States in Santiago in promoting shared interests and advancing ASEAN–Chile relations in a concrete manner. The Ambassador also noted that the briefing on ASEAN for Chilean diplomats at the Andrés Bello Diplomatic Academy was a valuable initiative that should continue to be organised in the future.

The ASEAN diplomatic representatives then attended the handover ceremony of the ACS Chairship to H.E. Mr. Suresh Kumar, Ambassador of Malaysia to Chile, who will serve as Chair of the ACS for a six-month term. The Ambassador congratulated Malaysia on assuming the chairship and expressed her readiness to support its work as the new Chair of the ACS. The event concluded with a luncheon held in a warm and cordial atmosphere, reflecting the close relations and strong cooperation among the Embassies of ASEAN Member States in Santiago.
