Democrats Abroad Chile is one of 75 active country committees around the world connecting Americans with US politics. We are a community of US citizens linked by our passion for our country and Democratic politics offering a vital social-political link for long and short-term US citizens living abroad in an increasingly mobile and globally linked community. We deliver mission critical votes to US
Federal elections. We discuss, create, and communicate global perspectives on US policy to Washington, our US representatives, hometowns, and to our Chilean community. Democrats Abroad is open to any American citizen of voting age who supports the principles of the Democratic Party. No oath of loyalty, fees or dues, or past voting record is required to become a member. Democrats Abroad is a full state committee of the Democratic Party casting votes to help determine Democratic candidates. With a great concentration of members in Santiago but members representing Valparaíso, Viña del Mar, Valparaíso, Concepción, Talcahuano, La Serena, Antofagasta, Temuco, Rancagua, Talca, Arica, Chillán, Iquique, and Puerto Montt, Democrats Abroad Chile is looking to become more active throughout the country. In 2013, DA Chile hopes to form its first chapter.
