📢 Earlier today, we hosted the Caribbean Ministers of Labour Meeting to discuss regional priorities that will be addressed at the upcoming International Labour Conference . The meeting also provided a follow up on the global call to action for a human-centered recovery from .

Inequalities, informality, social protection, skills development, lifelong learning and climate resilience were among the topics highlighted during the discussion.

Today, Barbados' 🇧🇧 Minister of Foreign Affairs & Foreign Trade,Dr. The Hon. Jerome Walcott, in his capacity as Vice-Chair of the upcoming World Trade Organization - WTO Ministerial (MC12), met with H.E. David Walker of New Zealand 🇳🇿, Facilitator of the Response to the Pandemic,for pre-MC12 dialogue.

Both Minister Walcott and Ambassador Walker expressed the desire for the organization to play a central role in ensuring that the global community was able to rebuild both lives and livelihoods, with MC12 providing critical direction on the way forward.

Jerome Walcott, in his capacity as Vice-Chair of the upcoming World Trade Organization - WTO Ministerial (MC12), met with H.E.Leopard Samba of Central African Republic 🇨🇫, Dean of the African Group in Geneva , for pre-MC12 dialogue.

Minister Walcott welcomed the African Group's engagement on critical issues currently before the membership of the global trade body.

H.E. Ambassador Chad Blackman recently presented Letters of Credence in Belgrade, to H.E. Aleksander Vučić, President of The Republic of Serbia, as Barbados' First Ambassador to the Republic of Serbia.

Areas of mutual cooperation in both areas of multilateralism and bilateral relations were discussed, and reaffirmed the commitment to the deepening of relations.
