Empowering futures through hospitality education in Kathmandu 🇳🇵
We’re incredibly proud to share the meaningful work and are doing with EHLsmile and Rokpa in Kathmandu.
is an international NGO active in Nepal, South Africa, and Zimbabwe, supporting communities through education, healthcare, and social development.
Emma and Amber are currently on mission at .guest.house (Rokpa Hospitality Training Center), which provides underprivileged youth with the skills to build careers in hospitality.

Their mission includes:
✨ Reviewing and enhancing curricula
📚 Teaching English and soft skills
🤝 Connecting with students and their families
💼 Meeting alumni to learn about their experiences
📣 Supporting marketing for the school, Guest House, and Restaurant & Bakery

Thanks to the dedication of our incredible Heads and volunteers, we raised 5000 CHF through two amazing events: the Afterwork Tapas and the Run for Smile 🥂👟

We’re SO proud of the impact this committee has made and grateful for those who shared their reflections on this meaningful journey 💬❤️

And we’re not stopping here — next semester, we’re bringing you even more with the Garden Party 🌿 and the iconic EHLsmile Gala 🎉 Stay tuned!

🌍 We’re looking for a volunteer to lead an exciting education project in Madagascar! For six months (or less, if needed), you’ll work in collaboration with Fondation Avenir Madagascar and ESSVA in Antsirabé to help design a new training program for local youth.

You’ll follow up on the budget and construction progress, co-create new curricula, and bring fresh energy to a growing team. French fluency is required, and we’re looking for someone independent, adaptable, and open to multicultural work.

EHLsmile covers your flights, visa, housing, and meals — plus a monthly allowance of CHF 350.

🌍 Calling future changemakers!
EHLsmile, in partnership with More Than A Drop, is looking for a female volunteer to help design and implement a year-long entrepreneurship and middle management program in Zanzibar, Tanzania.

After helping launch a vocational training academy in 2019, we’re back — this time to give young women the tools to build their own futures through hands-on training in hospitality and tourism.
