Belarus President Lukashenko made the statement during the national Kupala Night Festival (Alexandria Gathers Friends).
President noted: “Our festival also embodies the value of historical memory. Memory about our glorious past, about the fact that Belarus is our land. And our roots are ancient. We feel this connection to centuries particularly strongly here. And we understand the value of our cultural code here. Since the very start it has incorporated the eagerness of Belarusians for justice, high morality, and patriotism. Our national state is built on these principles and develops according to them".

(English ⬇️)⚡️⚡️⚡️Президент Беларуси Александр Лукашенко провел переговоры с руководителем ЧВК Вагнер Евгением Пригожиным. Пригожин принял предложение Президента Беларуси Александра Лукашенко об остановке движения вооруженных лиц компании Вагнер на территории России ⚡️⚡️⚡️
🇧🇾🤝🇷🇺 Сегодня утром Президент России Владимир Путин проинформировал своего белорусского коллегу о ситуации на юге России с частной военной компанией Вагнер. Главы государств договорились о совместных действиях.
В развитие договоренностей, Президент Беларуси, дополнительно уточнив по имеющимся собственным каналам ситуацию, по согласованию с Президентом России провел переговоры с руководителем ЧВК Вагнер Евгением Пригожиным.
‼️ Переговоры длились в течение всего дня. В результате чего пришли к договоренностям о недопустимости развязывания кровавой бойни на территории России.
☝️‼️ Евгений Пригожин принял предложение Президента Беларуси Александра Лукашенко об остановке движения вооруженных лиц компании Вагнер на территории России и дальнейших шагах по деэскалации напряжения.
На данный момент на столе - абсолютно выгодный и приемлемый вариант развязки ситуации, с гарантиями безопасности для бойцов ЧВК Вагнер.
Как уже сообщалось ранее, также в течение сегодняшнего дня Президент Беларуси провел два совещания с силовым блоком страны по данной ситуации.

This morning, Russian President Vladimir Putin briefed his Belarusian counterpart on the situation in southern Russia with the private military company Wagner. The Heads of State agreed on joint actions.
In line with the accords and by the agreement with the Russian President the President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko, having further clarified the situation through his own channels, held talks with the head of PMC Wagner, Evgeny Prigozhin.
The talks lasted for an entire day and resulted in the understanding that unleashing a bloodbath on the territory of Russia is inadmissible.
Yevgeny Prigozhin accepted the proposal of President Aleksandr Lukashenko to stop the movement of PMC Wagner on Russian territory and to take further steps to de-escalate tensions.
At the moment, there is an absolutely advantageous and acceptable option of resolving the situation, with security guarantees for the PMC Wagner fighters on the table.
As reported earlier, today the President of Belarus held two meetings with the country’s military and security bloc to discuss the current situation.

Every June 1st the world celebrates the International Children's Day.
Ahead of the important date the national charity event "Day of protection of children together with the Republican Union of Youth of Belarus” started throughout the country.
Volunteers of the “Kindly Heart” movement will hold more than 200 charity events paying special attention to foster families, orphans, children with disabilities and special needs as well as children in hospitals and rehabilitation centres.
Children’s Day is not only a joyful holiday for the children themselves, but also a reminder to society of the need to protect the rights of the child, to ensure that children grow up happy and healthy and become great parents and worthy citizens in the future.

The joint charitable campaign of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and foreign diplomatic missions #Разамздзецьмі was held in Belarus for the 3️⃣ time.
⚡️More than 5️⃣0️⃣ boxes and packages with pleasant and useful surprises for children from Molodechno Special Boarding School for the Visually Impaired Children, Orphanage #3 of Minsk and Cherven Boarding School for children with special needs were collected by more than 2️⃣0️⃣ Embassies, 3️⃣ Missions of international organizations, 2️⃣ Honorary Consulates together with Belarusian diplomats in their personal (‼️) capacity.
🔥 All the surprises will find their rightful owners very soon, and we will definitely put the photo report in the MFA Instagram.

🔶 supporting the peaceful settlement of armed conflicts and crisis situations;
🔶 supporting consensus initiatives aimed at taking new measures in the areas of disarmament, non-proliferation and arms control;
🔶 supporting the international architecture of nuclear non-proliferation & disarmament through strengthening the NPT & facilitating the early entry into force of CTBT;
🔶 improving the effectiveness of 🌎 regimes for the non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction - Biological & Toxin Weapons Convention, Chemical Weapons Convention, UN Security Council Resolution 1540;
🔶 promoting initiatives aimed at preventing the deployment of medium- and shorter-range missiles on the European continent;

May 22 is the International Day for Biological Diversity. In 2023, it is held under the slogan "From Agreement to Action: Build Back Biodiversity", inspired by adoption of Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework in November 2022 under the Convention on Biological Diversity.
Belarus is currently implementing the Strategy for Conservation and Sustainable Use of Biological Diversity, as well as the National Action Plan for Conservation and Sustainable Use of Biodiversity for 2021-2025.
Natural complexes and ecological systems of Belarus occupy about 57% of the national territory. The total area of specially protected natural areas is 9.1% of the country's territory. Three specially protected natural areas are included in the UNESCO global network of biosphere reserves: Belavezhskaya Pushcha, Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve and Prybuzhskaye Palessie.
Unfortunately, preservation of biodiversity is hindered by the construction by Poland of a fence 5.5 meters high and 186 kilometers long, which completely divided the Belarusian and polish parts of National Parc Belovezhskaya Pushcha, included in the UNESCO Natural Heritage List, became a serious threat to many representatives of the fauna and caused the death of over 40 wild animals.

Belarus strives to promotion of the intercultural dialogue by celebrating annually diversity and uniting force of culture through bringing together people from all over the world to international cultural events "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk", “Minsk International Film Festival Listapad”, “Festival of National Cultures in Grondo” and many others.

Welcome to “Vytoki. Krok da Alimpu”! Welcome to Belarus!

The sports and cultural festival “Vytoki. Krok da Alimpu” (Origins. Step towards Olympus), which is loved by many Belarusians and guests of the country, opens its third season in Zhlobin on May 19-20, 2023.
The festival will host a number of exciting events. Among them there is the art-sport game "Play with us - draw by yourself", organized at the support of the "ArtKhaos" gallery; evening performance by the Youth Variety Theater; famous sports movies screenings in an open-air cinema, etc.
Guests and participants of the festival will enjoy a bright opening ceremony and ae final gala featuring popular Belarusian artists; exciting competitions in more than 25 sports; fashion show of Belarusian designers “Rodnae-Modnae” (Native is Fashionable); as well as a new intellectual and educational project “Origins. Quiz” and a new song lyric contest “Vershy Pra Galounae” (poems about the most important).

The theme for International Museum Day 2023: “Museums, Sustainability and Wellbeing”. In 2023, more than 145 countries of the world, including Belarus, joine this tradition.
