It was wonderful to welcome the President of the National Council Pierre-André Page to the Swedish Residence together with the Swedish Friendship Group of the Swiss Parliament and the Swedish Swiss Chamber of Commerce.

Valuable discussions on trade, innovation and the excellent bilateral relations between Switzerland and Sweden. Close friends are crucial in these challenging times.

A special thanks to Malin Hartelius for gracing the occasion with beautiful song, accompanied by Ambassador Carl Magnus Nesser.

Yesterday, the third Nordic Security Policy Seminar was held in Bern, focusing on Comprehensive Security, or Total Defence. The event attracted a large audience and featured a number of insightful speakers representing perspectives from all Nordic countries as well as Switzerland.

We extend our sincere thanks to Markus Mäder, State Secretary for Security Policy, and Pälvi Pulli, Ambassador and Deputy State Secretary for sharing interesting insights on Swiss security in a changing European environment.

Thank you Nordic colleagues the strong and effective cooperation that made this event possible. We look forward to building on this success and to many more impactful seminars in the years ahead.

Finally, the seminar also provided an opportunity to thank Colonel Magnus Bratt, Defence Attaché, for his excellent service as he now moves on to new assignments.

Today is World Ocean Day! It is celebrated annually to raise awareness about the importance of the ocean and promote sustainable management of the world's oceans.

Here's an innovative wave energy converter inspired by the pumping principle of the human heart! 🌊💙

Swedish company CorPower Ocean has adapted wave energy technology and 40 years of hydrodynamic research to develop a device that delivers more than five times as much electricity per tonne of equipment compared with previous state-of-the-art in wave energy. 👏⚡️ 🇸🇪

The wave energy converter is a lightweight and low-cost tool that maximises electricity generation while providing robust operation in the harshest ocean conditions. 🌪

🇵🇹 In 2023 CorPower Ocean installed its first commercial-scale wave energy converter in northern Portugal.

Today is the National Day of Sweden! 🎉🇸🇪

The date, 6 June, stems from two important events in the history of Sweden: Gustav Vasa was elected king on 6 June 1523 – which laid the foundation for Sweden as an independent state – and Sweden adopted a new, important constitution on 6 June 1809. Two perfect reasons to celebrate!

What a wonderful day!

Ambassador Carl Magnus Nesser together with colleagues from Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Estonia, including Ambassador Okko-Pekka Salmimies and deputy Løberg Lars visited Stadler to learn about how the company brings quality trains to the Nordic region.

Thank you for showing us the whole production process, from an aluminum shell to a fully equipped train. And thank you for being such a great example of Swiss-Nordic cooperation.
