Important info! I'm sure you are all aware of scammers out there but just in case here is a reminder!

Scam artists call pretending to be from Medicare, doctors' offices, or government agencies. If anyone calls and asks you to verify your personal information over the phone, don't do it. Hang up right away!

If you know where they claim to be calling from, hang up and call that place to confirm they weren't the one calling you. If you did give out your Medicare number, contact the . If you gave out your Social Security number, contact Social Security Administration

Scammers often call stating they are from government agencies like Social Security Administration or Medicare and request your personal information over the phone to confirm or verify benefits. These agencies do not call and request this kind of information.

Protect yourself and your medical identity by never giving out your Social Security number or Medicare number to someone who calls you.
