জাতীয় শোক দিবস

জাতীয় শোক দিবসে গভীর শ্রদ্ধা ও বেদনার সঙ্গে স্মরণ করছি জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান এবং ১৯৭৫ সালের ১৫ আগস্ট নির্মম হত্যাকাণ্ডে নিহত তাঁর পরিবারের সকল সদস্যকে।

বাংলাদেশের স্বাধীনতা ও মানুষের অধিকার প্রতিষ্ঠার সংগ্রামে বঙ্গবন্ধুর অবদান আমাদের জাতীয় ইতিহাসের অবিচ্ছেদ্য অংশ। বাঙালির মুক্তি, স্বাধীনতা ও মর্যাদার জন্য তাঁর আজীবন সংগ্রাম জাতি চিরকাল শ্রদ্ধার সঙ্গে স্মরণ করবে।

আজকের এই শোকের দিনে আমি হারিয়ে যাওয়া সকল প্রাণের জন্য গভীরভাবে শোক প্রকাশ করছি এবং গণতন্ত্র, ন্যায়বিচার, সাম্য ও মানবিক মর্যাদার মূল্যবোধকে সমুন্নত রাখার অঙ্গীকার করছি।

On National Mourning Day, we remember with profound grief Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Father of the Nation, and the members of his family who were brutally assassinated on 15 August 1975.

Their sacrifice is forever etched in the history of Bangladesh. Bangabandhu dedicated his life to the struggle for the rights, dignity, and freedom of the Bengali people and led the nation to independence.

Today, we mourn the lives lost and reaffirm our commitment to the values of democracy, justice, equality, and human dignity for which generations of Bangladeshis struggled.

May the departed souls rest in eternal peace.
We remember. We mourn. We shall never forget.
