🐟 Big news from Logan Green!

The City of Yorkton’s Environmental Services Department, in partnership with the Yorkton Wildlife Federation, has recently stocked the Logan Green Trout Pond with 200 Rainbow Trout fingerlings.

These young trout are settling into their new home and will spend the coming months growing and contributing to a healthy aquatic environment for everyone to enjoy.

This annual stocking supports local recreational fishing opportunities while helping enhance the pond’s ecosystem for residents and visitors alike.

If you're visiting Logan Green this summer, keep an eye on the water—you might just spot some of our newest residents getting acquainted with their neighbourhood. 🐟 Now they just need to figure out where the best swimming spots are!

🎣 Planning to fish at Logan Green Trout Pond?

➡️ Catch and release regulations are in effect.
➡️ Please handle fish carefully and return them to the water promptly.
➡️ Following these rules helps maintain a healthy fish population and ensures everyone can enjoy this unique community amenity for years to come.

A big thank you to the Yorkton Wildlife Federation for helping make this initiative possible!

UPDATE: The sweeper is back in action! Residential street sweeping in Section 5 will begin on Friday, June 5, 2026 and will be following the scheduled days for each zone based on garbage, recycling & organics cart pickup. Please refer to the map below.

For tomorrow, the sweeper will be out from 4:00am until 3:30pm.

It is very difficult to predict how quickly areas will be swept as conditions vary and equipment breakdowns sometimes occur.

Please remove all vehicles from the street until you see that your area has been swept. If a vehicle is left parked on the street, we will sweep around it and not return at a later date.
