For the benefit of our page followers, the Saskatchewan government launched a snap "consultation" period of 14 days to get feedback from stakeholders to obtain feedback on eliminating flavoured v**e products in the province, as well as limiting the strength of v**e (flavourless) products to 20mg.

Such a move would instantaneously put every specialty v**e shop in Saskatchewan out of business.

The stakeholders that were asked by the government will have anti-to***co and anti-va**ng organizations out numbering specialty v**e stores by at least 8 to 1 - perhaps steering their agenda by the sheer number of anti-va**ng responses.

With no notice, the government of PEI is following Nova Scotia's April 1, 2020 action of banning the sale and possession of flavoured va**ng products.

The ban is to take effect March 31, 2021, effectively wiping out the va**ng industry in PEI as well.

Please let your Saskatchewan MLAs know how important flavours were to you to assist in quitting smoking.

Ontario just declared v**e shops to be an essential service.

Ask your Saskatchewan MLA to do the same.

To***co products are considered essential - why is v**e not considered just as important only in Saskatchewan?

The Liberal government in Nova Scotia obliterated the retail v**e industry with the stroke of a pen - with three weeks notice.

For the sake of your own choice in Saskatchewan and Manitoba, please don’t let it happen here.

Please take two minutes to phone your MLA and explain to them how critical flavours are to help smokers quit!

Alberta just announced a 20% tax on va**ng products across the board to combat teen va**ng, joining BC and Nova Scotia (almost 100% tax) in their combined attack on to***co harm reduction.

Rather than use existing enforcement, they will now be taxing adult va**rs 20% to supposedly reduce illegal purchases by teens.

If you would like to avoid a similar tax in Saskatchewan and Manitoba (governments will never turn down a new tax!), please contact your MLA and let them know your opposition - the sooner the better!

Canada's Council of Chief Medical Officers of Health has recommended that the legal age to purchase v**e products in Canada be raised from 18 to 21 to stop 12 year-olds from va**ng.
