This week's featured Co-op Student is Madison.
Madison recently completed her fourth Co-op placement, where she spent 80 hours at Carleton Elementary School learning about the role of an elementary school teacher. Madison says that a career as an elementary school teacher interests her because she enjoys working with children. Madison says that she likes helping children and learning about their interests and personalities. When asked what she enjoyed about her Co-op placement, Madison said that she enjoyed everything about her time at Carleton Elementary School. She said she enjoyed meeting new people and learning from many of the staff and children. Madison says that she especially enjoyed helping with the school's Santa Shop and Christmas concert. When asked what she has gained from her Co-op experience, Madison said that she has gained more confidence. Madison also says that her placement has provided her with certainty that she wants to enter post-secondary studies to pursue a career in education.
