Construction on the parking lot is still underway. The small parking lot in front of the facility is closed and accessible parking is not available.

Visitors can use the large parking lot of the south side of the facility and enter through the south stairs. The main entrance is open, however the pathway from the parking lot is not currently paved and the entrance is not fully accessible.

Updates on the construction will be shared on the City of Woodstock’s website and social media.

On this 25th anniversary of 9/11, we honour the lives lost, the first responders whose courage saved others, and the families and communities who continue to carry the weight of that day.
At Mayor Acchione’s request, City of Woodstock flags are lowered today as we pause to reflect on this anniversary and acknowledge the strength, compassion, and unity that emerged in the days and years that followed.
We remember those we’ve lost, carry their legacy forward, and stand together as a community.

Improvements to the changerooms at Southside Aquatic Centre will begin the week of Sept. 14, 2026. The project includes an addition and renovations to the existing universal changeroom, which will create more space and improve accessibility for users.

The pool is expected to remain open during the renovations, unless any unanticipated disruptions or closures occur. Lane swimming, public swimming, aquatic fitness programs and swimming lessons will continue to be offered throughout the fall. The male and female changerooms will also remain available. Access to an alternative universal changing space will be provided for those who require it upon request.

CoW Tales Throwback Thursday: This month we’re sharing stories from the Museum's Woodstock 125 anniversary exhibit, which explores some of city’s defining milestones, stories and achievements through the decades.

1910s: World War I

The First World War from 1914 – 1918 had a profound impact on the city. Many individuals and local industries played a critical role in the war effort. Bain Wagon Company employed nearly 1000 workers producing artillery shells, specialize wagons and ambulances for the Canadian military.

The Woodstock 125 anniversary exhibit is on display at the Woodstock Museum until January 2027.
