The Shining Through Centre for Children with Autism Shining Through is a non-profit organization that provides ABA/IBI therapy to children and their families affected by autism. That’s when Beecroft was born.

We say yes to children with autism having dreams! We say yes to families having hope for their loved ones with autism! Our Story:

Shining Through was founded in 1999 by 5 families, who recognized a demand for programs and services for children with Autism. Struggling to find the right care and education for their own children and having a goal of creating a centre of world-class quality - the Woo

dbridge campus was established. They began hiring highly specialized professionals to create one-on-one programs using the ABA intervention model, monitor progress, advise families, and champion the progression of all constructive interventions that would facilitate the education, growth, and development of their children. By 2008, the centre was so successful that it reached capacity, and another campus was urgently needed. Both campuses are in beautiful century homes; the story of the Dempsey Store (built by Joseph Sheppard II) is particularly fascinating. The newest addition to STC was a school-based program in partnership with Streetsville Academy where they focus on integration into regular classrooms. As for the 5 founding families - they are all still very much involved and committed to the mission of this centre.

Happy Father’s Day from Shining Through Centre 💙💛

Today, we’re celebrating all the dads, grandfathers, caregivers, and father figures who support, encourage, and help our learners shine.

Thank you for the love, patience, guidance, and strength you bring every day. We are grateful for the important role you play in the lives of our children, youth, and families.

Join us the Club this Summer with our Social Groups:

Our Hang Out Hub is for youth 13-21 and runs from 10:30am-12:00pm at Woodbridge Centre.

Our Friendship Club is for kids 7-12 and runs from 9:00 - 10:30am out of our Beecroft Centre.

Both run for 10 weeks on the following dates:

June 20th, 26th
July 11th, 18th
August 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th

Join the Club! Your child will build skills that help establish and maintain friendships, work on communication and group skills. This program will only run if there's sufficient enrollment.

The half marathon is sold out.

But there is still time to be part of race weekend 👟

This October, take on the Toronto Waterfront Marathon 5K with Team Shining Through Centre and help support children and youth with autism.

There are still a few spots in our Summer Camps, but time is running out! If you're interested in sending your child to one of our Camps please register by June 15.

ABA-based Summer Camp 🌲
Dates: July 20 - 24 & July 27 - 31 (option to join for 1 week or both!)
Locations: Mississauga, North York (Beecroft) & Woodbridge
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
