The Urban Retreats Garden Tour is just a few days away!

Buy your tickets now and get ready for a self-guided tour of the most beautiful gardens in the Deer Lodge area of Winnipeg on Saturday June 21, from 10 am to 4 pm.

Enjoy a Manitoba Tea (Bannock and Homemade Jam) and visit the Craft and Plant Sale all at Prairie Spirit United Church, 207 Thompson Dr. from 10:00 to 2:00.

Tickets for the Garden Tour are $20 and tickets for the Manitoba Tea, Craft and Plant Sale are $5 (available on Tour Day, cash only).

Through our drop-in at the Pimicikamak Wellness Centre, 1JustCity has been working closely with evacuees from Pimicikamak First Nation.  Families are crowding into the rooms to stay together including children ranging from three months old up to teenagers.

Although they have registered with the Red Cross, at the Chief’s request, we’ve stepped in to provide services.  If you can help with our current  list of needs, please drop off at 1JustCity Drop-Off 621 Balmoral Street (Attn: 1JustCity) or www.1justcity.ca/donate (please indicate fire relief - Pimicikamak)

Join us for an evening of music and giving back at the annual Music to Warm Our Hearts event by The Rotary Club of Winnipeg Satellite Club. All proceeds from this amazing event will go directly towards supporting our programs and services.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the door or in advance from a club member. (DM .satellite.club.winnipeg). Tickets can also be purchased at Augustine United Church, Monday – Friday, 8 am – 3pm. (Contact Korrina at 204 284 2250).

We want to express thanks to our community for an impactful 2024.

Thank you to our guests for allowing us to be part of your lives; for having faith in us, for your willingness to connect with us and each other. Your strength and resilience inspires us to listen, evolve and keep striving for a better future for us all.

To our employees, thank you for your compassion and kindness. Day after day, you go above and beyond to provide not just services, but a place of safety, hope, dignity, and a belonging to those who need it most.

To our dedicated volunteers and generous supporters, everything we do is only possible because of you. Your support, time, and resources made an immeasurable impact on the lives of our guests. You provided meals, housing, cultural support, resources, and helped foster hope and assisted in helping guests live meaningful lives.

As we step into the new year, we are grateful for the connection we share and the difference that we are able to make together in our community. Thank you and we look forward to your continued support in 2025.

Help Us Spread Holiday Cheer with a Turkey Donation.

A call out to all our supporters to donate turkeys so we can send our guests home with a turkey dinner for Christmas Day. We hope you are able to share the joy of the season with those who might otherwise go without.

If you’d like to donate, please call us at 204-221-4684 or drop off your turkey donation at Oak Table, 107 Pulford St. where the preparation will happen for all sites. If you have a receipt, we will happily provide a tax receipt for any donation of $20 and over.
