Rehabilitation Centre for Children

Rehabilitation Centre for Children The Rehabilitation Centre for Children (RCC) provides services to children living with disabilities.

The Rehabilitation Centre for Children (RCC) supports children and youth in Manitoba and surrounding areas in achieving their goals and participating in their communities. RCC provides services to children with physical and developmental challenges. Children from birth to eighteen (twenty-one if still in school) are eligible for services from the Centre. RCC receives its funding from the Winnipeg

Regional Health Authority (WRHA), Manitoba Health, the Department of Families, a number of Manitoba School Divisions, and the Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation. Together, with children, youth, families and our partners, we promote excellence in children’s rehabilitation and developmental pediatrics through innovative clinical service, education, research and technologies. Our vision is to give children and youth who receive services from the Rehabilitation Centre for Children the opportunity to reach their full potential. And for all families and caregivers to have easy access to the knowledge, services and resources that they need to support their children in discovering this potential.

A wonderful day celebrating the launch of Bright Path Enterprises!

Executive Director, Barb Borton, and Director of Jordan’s Principle, EDI & Service Integration, Pam Becker, were pleased to join New Directions for Children, Youth, Adults & Families to celebrate the launch

Through Bright Path, a food cart service will offer snacks for children and families during their visits to SSCY Centre helping create a more welcoming, supportive experience.

We were honoured to accept a certificate on behalf of Chris Froese, Occupational Therapy Clinical Services Leader, whose leadership helped bring this important program to life and support youth in our community.

Special thanks to the Children's Rehabilitation Foundation for supporting the lunch cart program and helping make a meaningful difference for families. 💚

With his new adapted bike, young James is ready to roll, already talking about his rides across town to the local swimming pool.

Adaptive bikes do more than provide mobility, they build strength, coordination and confidence, while supporting each child’s physical and therapeutic development.

May is , a time to recognize the important role caregivers play in supporting children and families in our community. 💚

For 11 years, Tricia has been a foster mom, creating a space where children feel safe, supported, and valued. Her compassion and dedication shine through in every child she welcomes into her home.

Through the Family Network’s Caring for Caregivers event, Tricia connects with others who share similar experiences, finding strength in community and support.
