Research Manitoba is pleased to invest in 9 new Innovation Proof-of-Concept projects!
From 3D-printed concrete designed for Manitoba winters to a saliva test that could help detect gum disease in pets, Manitoba researchers are tackling real-world challenges with innovative solutions.

New projects supported through Research Manitoba are advancing technologies that could reduce grain spoilage using microwave sensors, improve aerospace manufacturing through sustainable metal 3D printing, develop smarter and more resilient infrastructure, and accelerate the search for new treatments for diabetic kidney disease.

These investments support made-in-Manitoba innovation with the potential to improve health, strengthen industry, and create economic opportunities across the province.

Research Manitoba was proud to participate again in this year's Falling Walls Lab in Winnipeg, Manitoba, as both a sponsor and judge.

This year, the winning researcher was Saba M.Kolahdouz who presented their concept for a wrist-worn wearable designed for stroke patients to support recovery during the first three months after discharge.

The event brought together an exceptional group of researchers from across institutions to share breakthrough ideas and innovative solutions addressing some of today's most pressing challenges.

We extend our congratulations to the organizing committee and all of the presenters for an exciting event that showcases the unique and creative problem-solving abilities of researchers in the prairies.

We are already looking forward to next year's event!
