We’re looking for a Reintegration Worker to support women who are remanded, provincially, and federally sentenced as they prepare to return to the community.
This role helps women connect with supports and resources, including those returning to communities outside of Winnipeg across Manitoba.

The Reintegration Worker supports remanded and sentenced women at the Winnipeg Remand Centre and Women's Correctional Centre, assisting with release planning and transition back into the community. This includes connecting women to basic needs supports (food, clothing, shelter), indigenous cultural and spiritual care, employment and literacy resources, and short-term individual support in the community. The role works closely with probation officers, correctional staff, and community agencies. Also helps coordinate program applications and follow-ups, provides transportation for newly released women, and offers both crisis and non-crisis support. The position also represents Elizabeth Fry Manitoba at events and partners, and helps coordinate the Tell Me A Story program.

Education & Licensing: Postsecondary degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Must hold a valid Manitoba driver's license and be willing to complete a criminal record and child abuse registry check. Additional training, such as First Aid/CPR, Naloxone, su***de intervention, and non-violent crisis intervention is considered an asset. At least 1+ years of related work or volunteer experience in a similar role.

Looking for a job where you can truly make a difference?

The Elizabeth Fry Society of Manitoba is looking for a Full-Time Bail Verification and Supervision worker!

In this role, you’ll support women on bail by providing guidance, supervision, and helping them navigate their return to the community. You will complete intake with women in custody who have been referred to the program, ensuring all information is accurate and verified with relevant support services. You’ll also prepare and submit bail reports, take part in court when needed (including testifying), and provide support to women throughout the court process.

You’ll also provide ongoing support to program participants, build strong relationships, connect women to community resources, advocate on their behalf, and interact with the public and community partners to help navigate system barriers.

Knowledge & Skills
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the criminal justice system and an awareness of Indigenous community needs, including the impacts of historical trauma. They bring knowledge of how colonialism and criminalization affect Indigenous women, along with supporting LGBTQ2S+ individuals. Strong problem-solving, leadership, and organizational skills are essential, as well as the ability to coordinate effectively with coworkers, the legal system, and community partners.

Education & Requirements
Post-secondary education in a relevant field (or a combination of related knowledge and experience) is required. Candidates must hold a valid Manitoba Driver's license and have a clear criminal record check, with the ability to obtain security clearance for the Women's Correctional Centre. Applicants should have 2-4 years of relevant experience in a similar role (4+ years preferred), along with proven experience building professional relationships within the legal system, community, and with key partners.
