In 2002, Jon Singleton became Manitoba's first Auditor General, marking a new chapter in our history. Prior to 2002, the position was known as the Provincial Auditor.

The implementation of The Auditor General Act modernized the Office, clarified its mandate, strengthened its independence, and reinforced its role in promoting accountability and transparency across government.

As we celebrate 150 years of accountability, we're looking back at the milestones, legislation, and leaders that have shaped our journey and helped build public trust for generations.
