As we approach our next weekend game let us finish catching you up on where our adventurers last found themselves:
The group arrived at their first town within the Nightlands, Frost Crypt. The town also bares the unfortunate distinction of being the latest victims of children going missing. The mayor of the town welcomes them and directs them to parents who might hold some clues to aid in their search as well as provides them valuable information and clues about all the disappearances across the country.
However, a planned ritual to scry for the children goes terribly wrong; some information is gathered but a massive magical discharge leaves one party member with a hand damaged beyond repair and rips in the veil that rift walkers pour from. Before safety can be declared though, another hard lesson is learned. The group had been warned loud noises may draw dangerous spirits...and not all had listened to this warning.
Wraiths swarm and several party members barely make it out with their lives; one even having to be soul drawn back from the very precipice of death. Injured, worried and with tensions high they continue to search for clues the next day; it is discovered that the children are going missing at the full moon and which two towns might be next.
All seeming clear, a plan in mind, the ritual is tried one last time to see where the children might be and if they are alive. Success this time, they are alive but...being kept in a suspended state. More questions then answers it seemed; even more so when less then an hour after the ritual a vision that has been haunting many, plagues two members of the party, and an earthquake rocks the region on the heels of it.
What could this mean? No, time to dwell, the next full moon rises this weekend...
