The Kinship & Foster Family Network of Manitoba is a non-profit charitable organization focused on providing caregiver skill development and grassroots community development opportunities to enhance the lives of kinship & foster families. Through a province-wide network, kinship & foster parents receive training, guidance and assistance, often provided by other kinship & foster parents within the

community. Organizational Beliefs

At the Kinship & Foster Family Network of Manitoba we believe in the:

Empowerment of Kinship and Foster Parents to be respected members of the professional team, and we strive to provide training and supports that will assist you in achieving this goal. Kinship and Foster Care works best when following the Principles of Addition:

-The birth family always remains at the center of the circle.
-Always add rather than subtract people from a child’s life.
-Adding people always expands the circle of support.
-A kinship or foster family is not the center of the circle but a valuable complementary addition to the birth family.

We are excited to invite you to our Pow Wow Demonstration & Open House!

June 23, 2026, at 175 Mayfair Avenue, Winnipeg.

This special community event offers an opportunity to experience the beauty and energy of Pow Wow culture while connecting with local organizations, resources, and community members.

A Pow Wow Demonstration will show the audience a variety of Pow Wow dances.

🕚 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. – Pow Wow Demonstration & Open House
