🌸☕ Our Annual High Tea on May 7 was a wonderful success at the Centre! ☕🌸

The room was filled with elegance and charm as the ladies arrived in beautiful fascinators and hats, while the gentlemen looked especially dapper for the occasion. It was truly a lovely afternoon shared with great company, delicious treats, and wonderful entertainment.

A special thank you to Paul Dueck for sharing his musical talents and creating such a warm atmosphere with his beautiful harp music throughout the event.

We would also like to thank Venvi Portsmouth for their continued support in helping make this event possible.

To our amazing volunteers — thank you for all of your hard work preparing, baking, setting up, and helping throughout the event. From the busy day of baking beforehand to keeping everything running smoothly during the tea, we truly could not host these special events and programs without you.

Guests also had the chance to win a couple of lovely prizes, adding even more fun to the afternoon!

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this year’s High Tea so memorable. We look forward to welcoming you back again next year! 💐

Be sure to take a look through the photos and relive some of the special moments from the day! 📸

Have you met Buddy, our devoted (and very lovable) canine *“Snooperevisor”? 🐾

If you’re at the Centre, chances are you’ll spot Buddy right where he’s happiest—by his mom Janice’s side. Whether she’s busy with daily tasks or connecting with members, Buddy is her constant companion, offering quiet support, a watchful presence, and the occasional tail wag to brighten someone’s day.

Buddy has a special way of making everyone feel welcome. From gentle greetings to simply being there, he brings comfort, smiles, and a sense of calm to the Centre. His loyalty to Janice is matched only by his ability to win over everyone he meets.

Take a look at Buddy hard at work today. It was a busy morning, so a nap here and there is helpful to keep up with his mom. These photos show Buddy in his natural role—faithfully by Janice’s side! 🐶

Our Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on April 23 was a wonderful celebration of the incredible individuals who give their time, energy, and heart to our Centre. It was a special afternoon filled with great food, warm conversation, and well-deserved recognition for the many contributions our volunteers make throughout the year.

We are deeply grateful to Westwood Community Church for their ongoing support and partnership, helping us create a welcoming space for events like this. A heartfelt thank you also goes to Venvi Portsmouth for providing a delicious meal that everyone thoroughly enjoyed. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to harpist Paul Dueck, whose beautiful music created a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the event.

To all of our volunteers—thank you for everything you do. Your dedication truly makes a difference in our community, and we are so fortunate to have you as part of our Centre.

Be sure to take a look at the photos from the day to see some of the smiles and special moments we were able to share together!
