Happy Earth Day!
We are so grateful for the remaining natural habitats that we share our city with. These prairies, forests, wetlands, and rivers help keep us healthy and safe, and provide homes for our many animal and plant relations. Together, we can also help keep the land healthy and safe.
Consider a visit on this beautiful day to the special place in your community!

Join us for Planting by the Moon Teachings with Shirli Ewanchuk on Sunday May 3 – 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

This presentation is free. REGISTRATION REQUIRED. To register: Contact us at [email protected] or call 204-832-0167.

Come and hear stories from the last ice age about how the plant teachings came to the Ojibwe/Anishinaabe people, and the important messages our ancestors wanted to ensure were shared. Led by Shirli Ewanchuk, this presentation will share how planting by the moon reconnects us to the land, water, and the sky world, going with -- not against natural (earth) law & universal (sky) laws. Shirli will guide us to set up our garden planting, weeding, amending, and resting/vacation time based on the moon cycles.
