Well if you’re looking for something that seemed like dystopian fiction when written but increasingly seems like reality now (department of war, anyone?) it’s in the LFL right now. I just finished it, great read!

It’s safe to say Quebec native William Carrier isn’t getting much support from back home during the Eastern Conference Final 😂😂

What’s more fun than saying Ukko Pekka Lukonen? Lee Iacocca. And that’ll have to do because Les Canadiens eliminated Ukko Pekka & co. Last night. Vive Les Habitants!

Lee Iacocca is not only fun to say out loud, he is also a legendary salesman, and widely considered as the person who championed the creation of the Ford Mustang.

Have you watched Queen of the South on Netflix? You’ll also find the book the show was based on in the LFL! (Also the series is great!)

Confused about what the direction of the Toronto Maple Leafs is supposed to be? Wondering why they hired all those people to run team? Get the back story on Mats Sundin, most notably known for his time with the Vancouver Canucks and Quebec Nordiques? Something like that.

Update: it’s still there :)

Looks like you fell for false spring, didn’t you?

One of my favourite books, if you haven’t read it, it’s better than the movie, and that’s saying something!

He was struck down by a force of nature and refused to stay dead.

In the spring of 1823, deep in the untamed American frontier near the Grand River in present day South Dakota, famed mountain man Hugh Glass faced what many thought was the end of his story. The sun glinted on melting snow as a monstrous grizzly bear charged from the pines leaving Glass with a shattered leg, a ripped scalp and a punctured throat. This was a land of raw wilderness where survival was a daily struggle and every campfire story became legend.

Glass was part of a fur trapping expedition when the unimaginable happened. In the shadow of towering pines and roaring rivers, he was mauled and left for dead by his own hunting party. The scene that unfolds reads like an epic chapter from an ancient site lost to time only recently unearthed. Though not an archaeological discovery, the remnants of his journey capture an emotional terrain as rich and revealing as any dig revealing ancient city walls.
