Try-It Kayak and Paddleboard this Saturday, June 27th, from 12:00pm-2:00pm at Falls Lake Provincial Park!
Equipment is provided through our Equipment Loan Program.
Limited supplies, first-come-first-serve.
Free for all! Children under 16 require a responsible adult on the water.

West Hants is excited to be hosting the Kick-Off to Summer Community Social at Falmouth District School!

Come join us for the first of many community socials this summer. Enjoy live music from local performer Justin Wood Music while connecting with friends, family, and neighbours.

Not only will there be lots of fun activities, but we'll also be serving a FREE BBQ! Gluten-free and vegetarian options will be available upon request.

Whether you come on your own or bring the whole family, there will be something for everyone at this Kick-Off to Summer Community Social. We can't wait to see you there!

Join our Summer Rec Staff, Brie and Zoey for the first West Hants Hike of the summer! This one is extra fun as your summer rec staff will be dressed as dinosaurs! 🦖

Bring the whole family or come solo! We also encourage you to come in your own costume!

The hike is taking place TODAY! Monday June 22nd from 5:30~7pm at Irishmans Road Recreation Site, 151 Irishmans Road, Newport

We will be hiking for ~1.5hrs, distance will be determined by the group. The family trail takes about 30-45 minutes and is accessible for wheelchairs and people with mobility needs (also much easier for navigating in dinosaur costumes!).

We will have the Hippocampe all-terrain wheelchair available onsite if your wheelchair has a hard time getting over roots and steep hills. Please note that the Hippocampe requires someone to push, the user will not be able to wheel themselves.

Hey West Hants, let's get moving!

There's still time to help our community shine in the ParticipACTION Community Challenge! Every walk, bike ride, workout, swim, game, hike, dance session, or active moment counts.

The challenge runs until June 30th but you can add all your activities since June 1st! Reaching our goal is absolutely attainable if we come together as a community.

Get your schools, sports teams, walking groups, and more to sign up and submit the dates of your groups’ activity along with the number of participants involved. Every participant helps strengthen West Hants' contribution to the challenge!

Join Avon Sport and Social Community Group and the West Hants Summer Rec Team at Clifton Museum Park for FREE Try-It Disc Golf!

Tomorrow, Thursday, June 18th at 6:00pm

Open to all ages. Under 16 require adult supervision.

The Inspire Fund has helped fund things like pool passes, swim lessons, summer camps, gym memberships, paddling programs, martial arts, yoga classes, art programming, Makers Space memberships, and so much more!

Are you applying for a child to participate in sport? You must apply to both Kid Sport and Jumpstart before applying to Inspire Fund. Once you recieve a decision from both of those funds, you can then access Inspire Fund.
