Turtle Nesting Season is underway!

The Turtle Conservation Committee has been busy responding to calls regarding injured turtles, nesting turtles and turtle nests around Windsor-Essex County.

We’re not ‘mothing’ around!

Ok, actually we are! Join us for this very exciting evening on Pelee Island, June 6, to ‘moth around’ with Toronto Entomological Association’s very own, Alan MacNaughton.

This is a very special opportunity to learn about moths on Pelee Island and potentially see some that are rarely documented in Essex County. The outing will take place at 285 West Shore Road, Swallow Haven Farm.

"Moths are everywhere in an amazing array of patterns, colours and life strategies. Lights and screens will be set up to attract them, small and large. Also consider coming back in the morning to see the smaller jewels caught in light traps, as they are documented and released. Ideas for gardening for moths will be shown."
