All In UWindsor a group of students dedicated to challenging taboos and shifting norms in the discourse around white supremacy, creating a welcoming space for students to get their first taste of social justice activism, and encouraging students to challenge systems of oppression in their everyday life. This group was founded by two friends who, after witnessing white supremacy in action around th
e world and in our daily lives, were sick of feeling helpless and began asking ourselves what we can do to challenge current social norms. We noticed a gap in a lot of social justice circles: most groups are targeted either to people who already participate in activism or at least have a base knowledge about social justice - folks who are already "woke," if you will - or towards lobbying institutions like the government and law enforcement. This work is fantastic and necessary, but our experience has taught us that somethings needs to be done to change the mindsets of ordinary people and to challenge the subtle ways that white supremacy and other systems of oppression govern our everyday lives. Substantial systematic change can only happen when ordinary people, even those - ESPECIALLY those - who are not personally affected by white supremacy, are dedicated to challenging it in every facet of our lives. We encourage all students to come out to our events and discussions with an open mind, prepared to question their preconceived notions about race, identity, and social justice activism. Ultimately, we aim to make our campus a place where white supremacy is not a four-letter word and where speaking truth to power is encouraged rather than silenced. Each semester we will be donating all the funds we raise throughout the semester to a different social justice cause or organization. We will be donating all of our Fall 2017 funds to Black Lives Matter Charlottesville.
