Participants received personalized feedback, practical tips, and valuable insights to help them feel more confident and prepared for future employment opportunities.

LEAD 4 Intake 9 | Creative Business Launchpad Workshop

Our LEAD 4 Intake 9 participants had an inspiring and creative experience at the Creative Business Launchpad Workshop at Art Windsor-Essex!

During the workshop, participants had the opportunity to:

• Develop and present their Elevator Pitches
• Create inspiring Vision Boards
• Explore their creativity and entrepreneurial ideas
• Build confidence in presenting their goals and business visions

It was a wonderful opportunity for our young women to connect their creativity with entrepreneurship while gaining valuable skills to support their personal and professional journeys.

Learning Beyond the Classroom!

LEAD 4 – Intake 9 participants had the wonderful opportunity to take part in a guided industry tour at the Canadian Aviation Museum!

The tour gave participants a chance to explore the history of aviation in our community, learn about the aviation industry’s evolution, and gain valuable insight into different career pathways within the sector.

Experiences like these allow our participants to connect classroom learning with real-world environments while building their knowledge, confidence, and career awareness.

A big thank you to the Canadian Aviation Museum for welcoming our participants and providing such an engaging and educational experience!

The Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre welcomed the Skills Training in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Sheet Metal Program for Women (STARS) class for a unique tour!

The STARS were given a behind-the-scenes look at how the trades work together to keep this world-class facility running efficiently and enjoyed a walkthrough of Adventure Bay Family Water Park before it opened for the day.

Safety and climate control take center stage in creating a fun and family-friendly environment, and the class saw first-hand the importance of collaboration with HVAC professionals. WEST is grateful for the community partners that open their doors to us!
