Yesterday DWCC hosted an exciting bike repair session with the Bike Hub team and multiple energetic volunteer mechanics at Bruce Park. There were so many bikes that even 8+ mechanics were kept busy the whole time. Young and old attended. It was great to see so many bike riders helping and learning. What an amazing turnout and thanks to our volunteers and community for their support.

We had a great first Finaicial Literacy workshop last week!
Megan Deslippe from Libro Credit Union taught us basic banking and budgeting strategies in a clear, easy to understand way. We learned about choosing the right financial institution, putting together a budget for your dog, who considered coffee a "need" vs a "want", and much more.

We're keeping it going this afternoon from 4-5 pm. Today's topic is credit cards and building healthy credit.

If you haven't registered and are interested in coming today (or for the rest of the series), you can register here: https://form-can.keela.co/financial-literacy-course-sign-up
