Per Erie County - The portion of Wehrle Drive from Cayuga Road to N Airport Road will have a single lane road restriction. This Restriction will begin on May 8 and has an estimated completion date of May 13, or until complete. Working hours will be from 7:30AM to 3:30PM. This restriction is for the purpose of utility work. ErieNet LDC., will be performing the work.

FYI - Per Erie County DPW
The portion of Bailey Avenue, from Grover Cleveland Highway to Sheridan Drive, will have an alternating single lane road restriction. This restriction will begin on Monday, March 23, with an anticipated completion date of May 15, 2026, or until completed. Traffic control will be maintained on site. This restriction is for the purpose of Mill and Overlay with curb ramp repairs and drainage improvements.

Highway Superintendent Steve Floss has announced that, as long as weather conditions remain favorable, the Amherst Highway Dept Road Crews are planning a sweep of the entire town to pick up leaves that could not be gathered due to early snowfall combined with late season leaf shedding at the end of 2025. Crews will pass through every street once, starting on Monday, March 23.
