Good morning! Here's your week at a glance. Saturday is the Crib Tournament and due to high demand, I've talked them into letting me sell another 10 tickets so if you missed out, get in here and get yours today! $20 includes your lunch and it is always delicious! Last year I made this post on November 28th, this year, today, over a month ahead of last year, on October 23rd, we hit the 10,000 meals served mark! 🤯🤯🤯

Once again, this does not happen by magic! Every single weekday there are 6 or 7 and now sometimes 8 (!!) dedicated and hard-working volunteers here at 9am preparing homemade, nutritious and delicious meals for our members and they are often here until 2pm or later cleaning up the kitchen after lunch! We are so grateful to have these enthusiastic, caring, selfless people on our team!

Here's your gentle reminder that if you are keen on any of the following, you'd better get in here and get your tickets soon!

**The Crib Tournament on Saturday, November 1st has 3 tickets left, $20 includes lunch - this tournament is open to everyone, not just Members.

**The Fall Luncheon on Friday, November 7th has 30 tickets left, $15. *Members only*

**The Fall Raffle (draw to take place at the Fall Luncheon) has approximately 200 tickets left at $2/each. This raffle is open to everyone, not just members. Drop by between 11am and 1pm to get your tickets from our volunteers at the front door.

We’re thrilled to share that the Williams Lake Seniors Centre has reached a record-breaking 815 members for 2025! This is more than just a number—It showcases the amazing connections and sense of community that our Members create together.

The energy, enthusiasm and compassion that our Members bring each day make our space truly special—It’s the friendly chats over coffee, the teamwork in the kitchen, the laughter during our activities, and those quiet moments of support that truly make this place shine. Each of you plays a vital role in making our Centre the unique space that it is. And hey, if it feels a little loud and full in here, that’s just the soundtrack of our community thriving! 😉

We are incredibly grateful for our continued partnership with the Cariboo Chilcotin Elder College — a group that brings knowledge, connection, and the spirit of lifelong learning into the heart of our Seniors Centre. 💛📚

The majority of their courses take place in our Centre, bringing learning and vibrancy to our space. In exchange for our space, the Elders College makes a financial contribution that supports the ongoing operation of the Centre, helping us remain a welcoming, sustainable hub for older adults in our community.

It's a truly mutually supportive relationship — one that reflects the best of what collaboration can offer: shared values, shared spaces, and a shared commitment to community well-being.
